Re: Freaktacular 2015

Man, I'd love to win that Dino, would make a great Christmas gift for my sister!

Re: Freaktacular 2015

It will be interesting to see how dark Disney make their SW movies. ANH was quite tame compared to ESB and I expext TFA will be on the tamer side too. Although based on things I've read TFA does have the potential to be dark.

I definitely see them going as dark as any point in any Star Wars film has yet, even as far as the younglings are concerned, if the story required. I doubt they'd have to do that, as that was a really extreme point for Anakin, so I don't see a need to hit that point again; but in terms of story and all, there are PLENTY of dark scenes/moments in Disney movies, so I don't see them holding back for the sake of children or anything.

ANH was also the introduction chapter, while ESB was the chapter where everything that could go wrong, did go wrong, and it left the heroes in peril. Then come chapter three, rights are wronged and happiness is restored on some level. That's likely the path these will follow, so expect Episode VIII to be the darker one of the three!

If you think about it, some of the upcoming stand-alone movies could end up being kinda dark. The released cast image of Rogue One looks gritty as heck, and we already know that it will have to end with the death of Manny Bothans as he's sneaking those plans away from the Empire :rolleyes2

Thanks Golden Boy. I'm glad I waited on the comic. [emoji2]

Awesome, glad they got there okay! I have yet to read the comic myself, though it's sitting in my room at home. Like the movie, it gives off the mood nicely during the Halloween season, but I'm sure it'll read well any time of year! Enjoy! :)

:lol Yeah, I don't think there's any need to worry about them going too soft on the franchise. I wonder if the many bothans dying will resemble this scene in The Matrix:

Hell yeah! :lol

I remember the first time I saw that scene in The Matrix. I thought, damn, that was the coolest thing I've ever seen in an action film. :yess:
