Re: Freaktacular 2015

:rock :rock That looks awesome! I've been trying to do that myself for months, but it urns out I'm not very good at it. I'd love to get my avatar made into a little figure.

PM me if you want details.

I'm not sure how it works properly but I imagine I'd need a full 360o computer model made first (not just one view as it is at the moment, the guy can do that but it's more expensive), have it printed via a 3D printing service and then find an artist or someone who could paint it and add textiles etc...

Wow! That looks amazing goose! What a great and unique collectible.

I think I may have confused people by saying model. It's just a picture with a 3D style render of the avatar. The model figure is something I'd like to have made in the future. All I have now though is that image I posted. It's still just a 2D picture. ;) :)

The 3D rendering, with shading, gives a pretty good idea of depth. It's a great starting point to have when you plan on moving towards an actual 3D print.

Got it. I thought you had it printed! It still looks great, though!

On a side note, darn you all for talking about that Black series Tie Fighter and the 25% off at Target. Guess what I ended up with today?!? Now I have to find space-it's HUGE!

Re: Freaktacular 2015

...oh, it's 3d-style... not actually 3d -.- I was going to say, I should have more filament next month (Broke as hell right now, woo!) because I could see how bad printing it would be.

Yeah 3D style only. But yeah it's a good starting point but I think the cost and logistics would be out of reach.
