Re: Freaktacular 2015

I think it'd look pretty good. It definitely makes me want to get some of the other sets. Just don't know where I'll end up putting them all when built.

That is my problem now. I have the firehouse, theater, restaurant, department store, detectives office, and the petshop/apartment. It fits perfectly well right now where I have it. I can MAYBE add one more but then...I dunno.

Re: Freaktacular 2015

I usually just build one set and keep it out for a bit then take it apart to start a new one. Having all those buildings would really make me want to leave them displayed. I need a bigger house so I have a room like this but with more display space.

Speaking of which...I found out my landlord is moving back into this house. Now I'm looking to buy a house in the next few months. Pretty exciting actually. I'm mainly focused on a display and home theater area lol.

Re: Freaktacular 2015

My wife has most of the big creators, but we haven't caved on the Firehouse yet. It's... so expensive...

Re: Freaktacular 2015

I don't have any of the Creator sets yet. I'm thinking about getting the Bank, Theater, and Detective Office sets now though. Here's a shot I found of it with other sets from the guy that designed it. Not sure if the one LEGO released is actually this set though.

Looks good! It fits right in nicely with the CREATOR buildings.

Re: Freaktacular 2015

Ya, I feel like it is gonna be worth 3 or 4 times that in a year or two.

Eh.. it'll be produced for at least 2 years I feel, we'll see it slowly climb once it retires in 2018 or so. Even then, I don't think it's going to go up super fast. Maybe $50-100 increase in value a year. It's a very niche set, and I feel like most Ghostbuster fans who want it will buy it while it's available.

Re: Freaktacular 2015

How was he in person Punk? He's got kinda the deer in the headlights look going on. That is pretty cool though.

What do you expect, he was very excited to meet me. :lol Didn't have time for really anything other than a very quick pic etc. He didn't say anything to me, I just popped in last minute when my friend was taking pics.

Re: Freaktacular 2015

Jorge! I heard he's a little bitter after having sold Lucasfilms, which he calls, his "children". Not sure exactly what he means by that, but... I'm glad he's no longer calling the shots.

Aw, he's just angry because he sold the franchise for $4bil, and the first new movie out of the gate will pull in around half that.
