Aw, he's just angry because he sold the franchise for $4bil, and the first new movie out of the bank will pull in around half that.

Exactly my thoughts too. He said this only after the opening weekend results came in. But as a huge SW fan I'm glad the franchise exchanged hands. Lucas was getting too soft. He went from creating a ruthless smuggler in Han ( who we all know killed Greedo) to creating Jar Jar.

I think everyone is just resting up. I was thinking with all the creative "home made" things people did last year for prizes I might try something like that for this years Spook. Nothing too grand but might be fun... we'll see.

I'm still around. Mulling over whether I want to get a Reeve Superman 1/6 or the new Batman Returns Keaton next.

I love the Reeve Superman figure. Definitely one of my favorites in my collection. I have the Returns set on order. A couple issues aside, it looks like it'll be a great figure as well. Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with either.

This is typical for this thread...in year's past we had a new thread for each Spook, and it would die out in the November/December time frame.

Last year someone came up with the idea of just having one thread, and just rename it every year...but last year it went pretty quiet after the holidays, and didn't really start to wake up again until September...and even then it wasn't really busy until into October.

Anyone have any old Micro Machines they want to get rid of? I'm looking to start collecting them as I've always loved the little things. I want to amass a ton of them. If you have any to get rid of let me know. Not looking for the Star Wars sets and whatnot, just the regular cars, trucks, planes, army, playsets, etc.

Here is a little something I've been working on for a little while. I'm going to try and incorporate them into my DC collectibles BTAS display somehow. Not sure how I'm going to do it yet... Harley is next.

You might be able to move bits around and make them thinner and taller to use them as backdrops for each character. I love those, by the way.

I used a lot of different reference and light boxed them. For me, accuracy to the character is more important than 100% originality, as these are supposed to be character sheets. I usually have to do the lighting myself, but a lot of the outline is essentially traced from multiple images and put together. They are 11x14 and are going to be framed I think. Surrounding my BTAS collection. I just need to get some good guys up there soon.

Cool, they look great! I always like seeing older cartoon charactets restored to that type of quality. If you ever decide to put together the original '80s TMNT cartoon that'd be amazing!

Those are really cool Veil1. They'll make nice backdrops.
