Re: Freaktacular 2015

Can't wait for the festivities, already been Halloween camping this year (No idea why the campground did it the 1st week of August). Watched Stranger Things twice, gotthe wife to finally watch Children of the Corn (not the same effect as a kid). This weekend got Halloween 1 & 2 lined up and then two more Halloween camping trips.

This honestly is the best time of the year...

Re: Freaktacular 2015

it is, you should get a free month just to watch it. :lol

I really should! My kids have been hitting us up to get Netflix, but we just haven't justified it yet. We have Prime, and while I know Netflix's catalog has lots of great things in it that Prime doesn't have, we just can't make the switch. With four kids we really do like the Prime shipping come Christmas time!

Re: Freaktacular 2015

yup, I'm a prime member too. me and the girl a few years back decided to go just subscription services only and cut out dish. with Hulu, prime, Netflix and hbo go you're pretty much covered, at a cheaper cost too.

Re: Freaktacular 2015

I just got an email from Amazon warning me I've had too many returns. Oops.

Re: Freaktacular 2015

They do that?

Yep. I've had a few returns lately, all legit though. I've even had recent orders that were wrong that I didn't return. Like ordering blue XLR cables and they sent red.

"Hello,

We have noticed that an unusual number of your recent orders have been returned.

Since our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company, we want to make sure you are happy with your Amazon shopping experience. If we are not living up to our promise, please reply to this email and let us know what we can do to improve."

Amazon pissed me off yesterday. I was expecting a book and a few figures, they said it would be delivered by 8 but nope nothing. nothing this morning either.

So I emailed them, and they gave me a 10$ GC. Their customer service hasn't been what it usually is, but it was nice of them to do that.

What do you do about local channels? I want to go this route but my wife is adamant that she keeps her local channels.

We thought the same thing.. but honestly, we don't miss them. :lol

We get all the local news of our phones these days anyways. With Hulu you're pretty much covered with new episodes of shows that airs on your local channels. (Hulu even puts a local watermark on certain shows).

You think you'll miss it, but you wont. You'll be watching less commercials and more TV. And paying for less.

We set up a HD antenna in the attic, and with our older TVs hooked the antenna up to a HD receiver. On the TV we recently bought, it already had a HD receiver built in, so all we did was hook the antenna directly to the TV. We're able to get all of the local channels in the Nashville area that way.
