Re: Freaktacular 2015

Yep. I've had a few returns lately, all legit though. I've even had recent orders that were wrong that I didn't return. Like ordering blue XLR cables and they sent red.

"Hello,

We have noticed that an unusual number of your recent orders have been returned.

Since our mission is to be Earth's most customer-centric company, we want to make sure you are happy with your Amazon shopping experience. If we are not living up to our promise, please reply to this email and let us know what we can do to improve."

Amazon does some weird stuff when it comes to returns. A few customers have even been banned for returning too many items.

Re: Freaktacular 2015

I pop in just from time to time, but I wonder: what do you guys who get rid of your cable service do for sports?

I'm in DC, and I usually spend a fair amount of time watching Nationals, Capitals, and Redskins games. Now, Redskins won't matter; the HD antenna will take care of that, as all the games come in on one of the local channels. But the Nationals have their own proprietary network, and the Capitals run on CSN. I'd need to be able to keep both of those stations or find a way to stream them easily. Blackouts prevent buying a subscription thru MLB.TV. I've looked.

I'd LOVE to buy a Roku, just get Hulu and Prime to go along with my local antenna, and go without. But man, the thought of not watching a ballgame drives me nuts.

I'm not a sports guy, so I don't really care. :lol Plus, my job is doing sports broadcasts so I'm listing to that **** daily over the radio. :lol I do know that ESPN has their own streaming service now though. Well at least that's what I've heard.

That has been the biggest challenge with our cutting the cable. Local NFL games are not really a problem, but when it comes to Predators Hockey I don't get to watch much. I miss it, but haven't missed it enough to want to go back to the massive cable bills.

That's funny. I work in aviation and could give 2 s***s about airplanes. :lol

that's the sick world we live in. :lol

luckily, it's just football (which I've played a lot of, hence why I can't stand listening to two idiots act like they know what the **** is going on) and basketball, which is the worst of the two. Just plain boring to listen too. :lol

the rest of the radio gig isn't bad though, voice commercials and edit audio etc. plus I get to chill on the Internet all day. :lol

Re: Freaktacular 2015

We thought the same thing.. but honestly, we don't miss them. :lol

We get all the local news of our phones these days anyways. With Hulu you're pretty much covered with new episodes of shows that airs on your local channels. (Hulu even puts a local watermark on certain shows).

You think you'll miss it, but you wont. You'll be watching less commercials and more TV. And paying for less.

I'll be kicking Dish to the curb as soon as my contract is up then - thanks!

Re: Freaktacular 2015

Wow had no idea that Shane Black wrote it. Just re-watched The Nice Guys. Love his movies! Need to re-watch Kiss Kiss Bang Bang as well.

I was thinking of picking up The Nice Guys sight unseen. I liked the trailer but was thinking the best parts of the entire movie IS the trailer. :lol
