Fred shipped me my replacement last week. Should be here tomorrow. I know allot of people are frustrated, and rightfully so, but Fred has always been very forthcoming with me and kept me up to date on the progress of my original bust, as well as the replacement bust made necessary by Fed-Ex's ridiculous handling of a package marked (repeatedly) fragile.

Haha, yup , huge robocop fan too! Yeah, for once I'm kinda glad for the breather. Though I hope they don't delay till after april.

I received mine today - 15/250. I had actually received one about 4 months back, which was badly damaged in shipping. It was returned and Fred sent me a new one from the new crop, which, as I'm told, is better molded and more reinforced. Also, the paint apps on the new one are much cleaner than the first one, as well as being more ornate. This one is done in silver with a "candy" coating of various interference colors, giving it a very unique shimmer similar to the Robo 2 costume. Also, the skin tone seems less orange and the teeth are glossy and ivory colored, not flat white.

I was disappointed with all the complications, but honestly, Fred kept me in the loop and always responded to my emails in a timely fashion. I never even considered a refund on this and now I'm glad I didn't - hell, there are only 250 of them! I'll try and figure out how to post pics.

This was so worth the wait and the headache. Maybe I'm just too easy going, but I wasn't ready to crucify Fred for some delays and defects. Crap happens; I just can't abide the fan boys that go nuclear when something wasn't exactly as they expected. When people whine over this stuff, I always think "first-world problems" (ie. my cell is out of batteries, but the plug is in the other room - boo-hoo). Every singly person who can, by hook or crook, afford a $1000 "toy" needs to relax a bit - when you compare your decapitated robocop (like my first one) to a terminally ill person, a family ousted from their home or a breadwinner that looses his job before the holidays, it really becomes silly. I'm fortunate to have a job where I can afford a hobby, but I'd take 1000 cracked robos, aliens and predators if it meant some real suffering in the world was lessened. Just a little perspective...

totally agree on your point..my 69 year old friend passed away just a few days before x-mas from kidney failure..believe me i would of traded the $900 i going to spend on this bust, just so he could live thru the holidays and new year..your right skull, there are more serious matters in this world..

Fred just answer me , my replacement unit is finally painted , needs to be assembled and it has a reinforced neck :) ... Just wait a bit longer ...

Fred's response to some of my questions.

"The 1:1 statue is a masterpiece and nearly ready for assembly. So much to mold and retool. Plus all the work on the busts and all my other work on other robots , I am just slammed.

Soon, everyone will get their products and I can move on to other projects…

Let me figure out the shipping for your unit to get back here be in touch in the coming days.

We are shut down from now till Jan, but I will be squeaking in as much work as I can. I do have a family, besides my wonderful family on the Statue and Sideshow Forum. They are all my buddies. They treat me so well, I wish them all a great new year.

Best,

Fred"

I always love the look of RoboCop 2 better.
I like to get my stuff early, but in a way kinda wish I would wait a bit to get something that are closer to the RoboCop 2 look.
