Yea well Fred told be things like ' I will send it tomorrow'. Never happened. The mans a compulsive Liar.

Liars turn me on. :rotfl
But to be completely honest I don't think he set out to lie, I think it was more of a case he was just so bogged down with so much work that he lost track of time or even forgot about the promises he's made. I think he definitely needs to consider taking in help.

I have a bit of a dilemma now.

a) Sideshow has delayed my final flex payment/shipment from Dec 10 (tomorrow) to Jan 10th. I wanted this before Christmas.

b) The 9 lbs thing is really bothering me now.

Is there any reason I shouldn't cancel? Yes I know its very nice and all but what would you do given the same situation.

^ I'm in the same boat and have been asking myself this same question for months.
To cancel or not to cancel?

if your going to lose hundreds in cancelling, you might as well wait and see if you like it in hand.

Its really tough. I'm a huge Robocop fan.

I guess I should have mentioned that Sideshow has offered me a full refund and the entire NRD too. Classy company if you ask me.

idk, the weight of such a big piece like this would make me worried that it would become brittle over time.

If you look at the 1/2 scale Ironman statue it is made from the same rotocast process as the Robo bust but it does not take away the fact it is an amazing statue and once it is in place you will probably never move it or lift it anyway.
I don't think it really matters how light something is, as long as it is strong enough to last and looks good. Nobody is going to come to your house and lift it up and unless you tell them they will never know. Personally I like the bust but I think it is way over-priced.

:peace

I weighed my 1:2 IM at almost 40lbs.

The issue becomes the cost you pay for the very little material that is used. If the bust only sold for $300, I'm sure you wouldn't find many people complaining about the weight. Yet at 3x the price it's something people should question.

If I had purchased Freds 1:1 robocop statue for 8k and it came to me weighing under 50lbs. Believe me I would be plenty upset about that.

Quality is not based entirely on how much something weighs, but it's defiantly part of it.

That's good, means someone else will have a chance to own this. After all they're selling out fast remember.

Sideshow likes to give the illusion that an item is almost gone by doing that..... It'll convert in a couple days if you get on it....

No doubt there are some BS waitlists...but how many of these will there be? Sideshow says Limited Edition...Originally it was supposed to be an edition size of 250 on Fred's website but that is gone.... I still have faith that the too thin casting and piss poor paint apps will be sorted out...but I do kind of feel like I'm taking a gamble based on others' experiences.
This kind of thing RUINS your rep so either it is fixed up or Fred GTFO of collectibles cos his name will be scat.
Fred's name is a bit like Frank Frederickson over at Henry Ford Memorial Hospital at the moment.
Good luck Fred!

I ordered the ssc robo piggybank and waitlist converted after 3 days..im only getting him bc im a robocop fan & its the only lifesize out there..hope the complaints got into fred head and make some changes on it.
