these might be coming out at the right time too. with how long it took gtg exclusive to sell out and the fact that there are still exclusives of these left it might be really good for the line if these sell out now and give some much needed momentum back to it. hopefully they'll have either a merry and pippin or a gimil or ringwriath at sdcc to show everybody.

I was able to mount his belt and scabbard properly on the right with the buckle in front without futzing with anything. I just opened the belt and slid it over his legs.

Do you think you could post some pics of how it looks it looks on the right side?

Just got mine!
They look great and I agree with you all. Hopefully these will put more momentum back in the line.

Seeing this gives me ideas... You guys remember the Medicom Darth Maul, right? Wonder what Frodo would look like if SSC/HT would have used a similar fabric like the Medi Maul to make Frodo's pants and vest. It would have looked better, but perhaps the price would have been higher too. So far, I really like 12" Sam and Frodo. The only thing that really distracts, is Frodo's neckless. It is really to thick.

I must be retarded because I had to take it apart and switch the belt around, but I got looking right.

That's how mine is. You can't see the scabbard because the jacket is covering in my pics but my belt is looped that same way. I didn't have to take anything apart....

:dunno :dunno :dunno

I all know is there was no way for meto put it on his left side without the belt facing backwards.

So so far things I may be doing to my Hobbits:

Silver chain for the Ring
Holes in the cloaks for the packs (what's the safest way to do this?)
Checking the swords/scabbards
Find an extra Sting to give a nice blue "glow" wash

Hmm, hey CF, did I miss anything ?

Got Frodo today (unfortunately Sam won't come for a few more days). Overall, awesome figure. Definitely the best in the line so far. I didn't bother using the wire part of the stand -- I just prop him up against the black plastic support that the wire part goes into.

My main complaint is the legs/feet look bad with the obvious articulation. I think I might have preferred that the legs and feet be one sculpted piece, although that would of course limit posing. Anyway, a few pictures:

I used a Hot Toys wire with the SS base, they are smaller and work perfectly with the Hobbits.
BTW, awesome pics!:frodo
