That just proves that you have a huge "broner" for Tony Stark.

Dude there's no way this thing sold out? I bet it get's a second chance here soon.

How's that Endo Bust btw Jake?

wow, so i wonder how many of the 1500+ were actually returned??
should make for a rather large markII es.
and if they don't have any left to exchange then we could see a markII pretty soon.

That basically means they don't want to replace it. I've been told the same thing for a different item and then saw it listed on second chance two weeks later. They're probably tired of replacing it for you and would rather deal with a less critical collector. :lol

Well that's interesting...I wonder what's happening with my return then.

LOL :lol there's the top notch customer service we have come to expect from SS :rock

Yup, I'm dropping a deuce right on his mask before I send it back.

I don't know if anyone would even notice it. Hell, depending on what I eat, it could actually be an improvement.

GOtta love it when SS sends out unsatisfactory products to their customers then after the mass replacement requests they all of a sudden give you two options. A. Keep the piece of ^^^^ one, or B. live without an item you may have been looking forward to for almost a year now and get your money back.

I wouldn't blame SS for that...hell I would do the same thing.

interestingly, i was in singapore last weekend (to pick up my indy PF---another story for another thread).

and in the shop's window display was a perfect ss iron man bust. i'm not kidding or making it up guys, the paint work was pretty much flawless. now i've previously seen two busts up close, and both had minor to obvious flaws. but this one was great. i was very tempted to buy it but the shop owner said it's his personal piece and he wasn't gonna let it go! :D

so i guess this is evidence that well-done paintjobs DO indeed exist. it's just the issue of sideshow's very inconsistent QC.

ps: will upload a pic later...

If some can be well done why can't they all?.. Failure of QC I guess.. I'd like to see how they practice Quality Control.. By the looks of some of these, they didn't inspect and just applied the sticker. These damages are not due to shipping and packing.. They are due to a porous Quality Control. For these high priced pieces in particular, QC should be on their toes.

I have to agree. With anything this pricey I'd rather it come double QC'd, checked by SSC once in house then have the sticker applied. It should be the other way around where a small handful are damaged not a small handful actually look good. Its sad really, it is a great piece but it seems like a lot of folks won't have it simply due to sloppy QC overseas. If/When a Mark 02 1:1 is done it probably will be no different only with a brushed metal look and defects will stick out much more than on this two tone model.

Just out of curiousity, is SS aware of how angry all us Sideshow collectors really are about this??

And that this is really hurting they're reputation...... I've been collecting for years and SS is losing its luster IMO :(
