Okay, got the remainder of my Red Skull parts today and got him finished. Did a little distressing to his uniform and boots and got him some gloved hands.

Really like how he turned out.

But actually I've always been fast at churning out stuff, always one of the first to finish tests, always finished art projects quickly and I guess that translates into this as well.

I was labeled "hyperactive" (God bless the 80's) as a kid, maybe that has something to do with it. Although I'm quite mellow these days.

Damn, GB!! You are a freakin MACHINE bro! I'm stunned at how quickly you are able to throw these figures together. And they don't LOOK thrown together, that's the amazing part.

You are really developing a cool style. It's kind of a mix between comic book and reality, the faces you make man... they rule.

I love how Skull has this strong jaw and a huge emphasis on the teeth, really gives him a unique look. Almost like a slightly exaggerated manga flavor. Really cool.

Yeah, I do seem to be developing a bit of a flavor with my figures... I think messing around with the characters like this helps me develop a bit so hopefully when I want to make a sculpt that actually looks like a person I'll be a bit more successful.

And Barryo... I'd like to make a cigarette holder, just not sure how to go about it. I don't know if I could get something that would be very strong and hold up to handling if I made it out of sculpey. Wonder if there are any 1/6 ones out there?

A good way to make one would be to add the cigarette and the end of the holder to an existing part, like a small metal rod or something along those lines. You could just sculpt onto it and paint it later.

i agree with DA............that part seems like it would be fairly easy..........i was think of a plastic rod of some sort .............bits and pieces from framing of models maybe.........but i think whatever you came up with whether a small wood dowel, plastic, etc.........the paint is what is gonna pull it off. but saying that and you dont want to go that route..........https://store-rooms.com/Product.aspx?sku=658

That Red Skull looks friggin awesome GB!!! I love the pinholes that you added. Great job on your sculpting man, you've come a long way in a short time. Keep up the sweet work.

Thanks Bagels! Red Skull is really my favorite attempt so far... and its a character I don't think we're too likely to see in 1/6.

And appreciate the suggestions on making a cigarette holder Josh and Barryo... I have a few loose 1/6 cigarettes (not that it would be hard to roll one up)... now I just need to find the right "holder"

As a note, for the cigarette holder you could just make two: one open and the other closed. That way you don't really have to work out how to make a hinge...although an actual working one at this scale would be totally awesome.

Okay, I got back to working on Killer Croc last night... I had gotten clothes for him earlier, but he just wasn't clicking. Then yesterday I got some Magic Sculpt and added a sculpting to the chest of the Dragon body I was using and I think it helped quite a bit.

Still not 100% happy with him, but I think he turned out okay. And it was fun to finally get to try out some Magic Sculpt.

okay, a lil' further commentary............THAT CROC IS AWESOME AS HELL GB !!!!!!!!. i really dig everything about it but the most cool thing on him is his eyes. they stand out like a beacon. wonderful job on the chest sculpt as well. watch out..........your talent is showing.
