Thanks guys! I really appreciate all the feedback. Not sure what Batman villain I'll do next, but I have a couple other ideas I want to take a crack at first.

One thing I'd like to work on with Croc still is getting his shirt to look a bit more beat up. I did two tea baths and added some paint... but it still doesn't quite look to scale in my eye. Anyway, something I'll probably tackle later on.

Thanks Mooncat... Penguin would be a fun figure to tackle. He'd be fun on a shorter body with a lot of padding :lol

And nothing too special, but made some more zombie snacks the other day. I like them as it's a cheap way to fill out a zombie mob.

Got started on my next project last night... decided to take a crack at Monkian from the Thundercats. Got the head mostly sculpted today, but I'm now waiting on a body until I can do much more :monkey2

But, here's the sculpt (neck and back are rough as they will be covered by faux fur):

And I'm going to attempt to use faux fur on him... just an idea of what it will look like:

YES:rock :rock :rock

Thundercats kick ass!!!! ^^^^ Batman villains, start sculpting 80's cartoon figures!!!

Love Monkian so far J:rock

Awesome King! Glad you like him... I had a feeling you'd be down with some Thundercat ^^^^ :rock

And thats actually the image I was using as a guide :rock :rock :rock

Crap, I think we'd need Les on that... did you see his Mummy figure? Thing was sick. I could see Mumra being real kickass if done in a similar manner.

Yeah, Les did an amazing Mummy fig, but I want to see what you would come up with.

I am really getting to like your style, and it is instantly recognizable now too. Very cool!

The more I think about it a Mumra could be fairly doable. I think the sculpt wouldn't be too bad... and trying to wrap his ass could be interesting :rock

that looks kick ass GB..............question on your sculpts..........what are you using for eyes? looks like a good solution to having to sculpt freehand......i hate doing eyes...sculpting and painting. i agree with king.....you have a unique style developing & its cool as hell....:rock:rock

I could never do a decent job sculpting freehand around eyes.

I use Airsoft pellets... for a little while I would just make balls and bake them, but the pellets are just the right size for 1/6 figures. You can get like 1,000 for around $8.

i think i read that before but had forgotten that. yea that makes for some wicked eyes. so no problem with the eyes melting when you bake the sculpy ?

Never once had a problem (**knock on wood**)... Maybe if you left it in for a really long time you'd have a problem, but typically its 275 degrees for about 10 to 15 minutes.

looks like someone's getting really good at this sculpting thing ;) :rock

about those pellets... do you find it's hard to get them in the right place? Seeing as when you put them in the clay the face presumably hasnt been done yet. I'd be worried about making them too far away or something but you wouldn't know until after you got the face done... which would mean you'd have to rip them out and re-do them.

I'm tempted to try them next time I sculpt eyes
