Lighten up my friend if we can't take the piss out of the odd statue/bust that SS release then we all really do have our heads up our own *****, and besides, i'll say it again, its only my opinion and a bit of fun, none of your business at all.

The good news Wrath is that your opinion is as valid as anyone else's...including those who want to sing this PF's praises before seeing it in it's full glory. I haven't seen this statue in it's full glory either and I don't have to, I can see the doll hair quite plainly.....which makes this PF an easy pass for me.

The realish hair over sculpted is turn off for me if I was gonna get it but with this one it probably was the best choice. It appears to be a nice piece just one I'm not interested in.

How has this piece made you lose faith in this line? Kind of an odd statement. We've seen little of it to really determine how good or bad it MIGHT be.

Two outstanding PF's though I actually prefer the reg. Aragorn to the excl. As for the other's, they've been nothing to write home about...the least consistant of the 3 LOTR lines I collect.

I would prefer sculpted hair on these pieces but again this probably was the best route for her. Galadriel is probably not going to be a great seller overall but the character is a good choice as far as impact on the story. I like her in the book and movies just not one I'm personally going to buy.

Exactly right, what really gets me is SS worked on GTW for over a year...and that was the best they could do?

Unfortunately, the first casualty in this age of political correctness is having a sense of humour. What gets me is not a single person who doesn't like it, has trashed or critized those who do....I guess we can't exactly say that anymore about everyone who does like it, can we ?

I don't think I'd be giving SS an A rating for some of the preview and prod. pic's they've given us lately but you never know, it may turn out much better than what we think.....but it won't matter in my case. While I would certainly agree to Galadriel being an important character, I do not find her to be the slightest bit interesting...and the doll hair just kills it for me.

I can understand that woodsy as i am still unsure about which pose looks better and until i have the statue in front of me i wont know for sure.Only advantage of getting the EX is u have that option and u also have the REG edition so cant lose if the quality is as as good as it looks in the pics.

As I and many others have said in the past - a single picture cannot an informed opinion make.

I would disagree that this picture misrepresents the figure, but it's difficult for those that have seen the statue in person many times to pick a single image that gives an accurate impression of the entire piece. Personally I think this preview looks good and I think many of you will be pleasantly surprised when more pictures or at least in-hand pictures surface.

It's interesting that they decided to show the whole face in the preview. I believe for the previews for the Aragorn and Anakin PFs (generally considered some of the finest PF likenesses) they only showed a part of the body like a hand.

Yes it is interesting that they show a face shot for the preview but it just doesn't look right to me and I really want this statue/character to be an excellent representation of Galadriel from the movie not just a reproduction of Tolkiens' because every other PF has been based or attempted to be based on the movies. I hope you are right Darklord Dave and that we all end up pleasantly surprised but this so far, out of all of the PFs looks the most "off" IMO.
