Well Vince said his piece though right, and that he is done speaking about it. So yeah guys may stand up for him which is awesome, but Dhaval stands by his side as well. So are guys going to start trashing him now? What does that do?

i dont see how vince loses out here, he has the statue back with him, he can sell it on ebay with a correct description, for good money and he has Dhavals 100 euros,
meanwhile Dhaval has nothing , lost 100 euros in the transaction and another big amount on the return shipping and customs charges
not to forget the headache he had to deal with paypal and his cc company,
if Vince was as honest he says he is then he would have refunded the whole amount to him as he promised when he got his statue instead of changing his stance as and when it suits him

Why though? You heard from him. He said his side which is different then yours. You have the prior threads and communications now take it to the legal peeps (the credit card companies) and leave the community here out of it. If you are hoping that peer pressure is going to get this done for you all you are going to do is screw up both your reps right. Vince's friends think you scammed and screwed him, others think he did the same to you. It the end is it possible that the truth is in the middle and some customs agent or mail dude damaged the statue in transit?? Heck at his point you wouldn't even listen to that because you are so mad.
Dhaval I am not trying to be mean when I say take this to the legal people, not the community. I personally feel that every thread you open about this should be closed and deleted by a mod because right now it is he said he said, and both your reps are getting trashed.

After agreeing to everything, if Vince stopped responding to him, is it wrong to come to this community for help? The only reason he asked to reopen this thread was in the hope that Vince would reply. Don't forget that in spite of keeping everything private, it was Vince who backlashed and started a thread.

Wow - this has turned into a mess.

From my perspective - it is both parties that are losing here.
There was an agreement where Vince said he would refund DHAVAL's money when he received the returned statue. Vince acknowledged receipt of the statue but didn't refund the money and stopped communicating with DHAVAL. This left him no other choice but to file a claim with paypal, which will not refund all of his money. Now Vince says he will not refund the remaining 100EUR because he feels DHAVAL will also try to get it from a credit card charge back and doesn't want the chance that he might get double back (from him and the c.c.).

DHAVAL I think your only course of action here is to go ahead and call your c.c.

I still think that most likely this item was damaged during shipping and it's unfortunate that something that very well may have been out of both parties control has escalated into this.

Because Vince did not insure for full value - he is out money and has a broken statue. He did not honor the agreement he made and DHAVAL had to file a paypal claim which tarnishes his rep here on the board and I am assuming counts against him with paypal.

DHAVAL is out the money he paid in return shipping and duty fees...which he may or may not be able to get back. As well as taking a hit to his rep here from those who side with Vince.

It's really a no win situation for either of them.
