Just got my exclusive and he is perfect.

His base had some sticky residue (from the packaging) around the top border... anybody else have this problem?

I did but I just wiped them off with a cloth and now they are gone

Now all of these stories are worrying me about buying anything from Sideshow, I have Guile on order right now but I am thinking about canceling the thing because if I were to pay $320 for the statue I would get pissed off if it came with even a little bit of paint problems. You pay this much money for an item and it should be in perfect condition. So far there has been 5 people who have said that their Gambits came in crappy condition so there is a good chance that something happened at customs.

Well this was my first Sideshow order and I couldn't be more pleased...

I gotta say, the exclusive is really the way to go on this piece. I had my thoughts that the charged cards may look a bit retarded in person but they look awesome. Single card hand will probably never see the light of day...

Dude, 5 people have said their Gambit arrived with minor damage. First, that is 5 people out of 700! You ship out 700 of ANYTHING and something is going to arrive damaged. Second, Sideshow almost always makes good on the damage...either replacement, partial refund, taking it back....

I would do it but not risk it for that much money. I will save the $300 for Kratos because hopefully by that time they will have everything sorted out >_>

I think Im a little confused...what are we talking about specifically here? A specific country? Cause "hopefully by that time they will have everything sorted out" doesnt make sense since Sideshow has been shipping outside the US for a LONG while.

The reason I think that a lot of these Gambits specifically are messed up is because since they make all of these statues in China, customs must have been behind all of these damaged pieces when they came in. That is the reason why this whole batch has problems and I doubt that all of the statues were damaged by the workers.

All of these statues? There's a 1000, plus 750 of the excl. I haven't read anything wrong with any statues - only thing I saw was ONE broken excl hand and ONE guy had wonky eyes on one head.

I just got mine and put him up. He's perfect. No wonky eyes, no broken hand, nothing.

I'm starting to think you don't really want that Guile PF.

Well my PF Gambit arrived today and I have to say he looks as good as I hoped he would after seeing all the pics of him posted here. The right eye is slightly off on the longer haired head, but like someone else posted earlier, I don't really mind it because it doesn't look that bad unless you look directly at it and I like the cigarette head better anyway. The energy card hand arrived in one piece as well, so overall I have really psyched about this piece. I like it better than PF Wolverine.

Here is a pic of all the SS X-Men I have in PF (except Rogue) but I will be getting her and Cyclops in PF when they come out. PF Sabretooth should arrive next week. I think I am going to need a bigger boat...er I mean display case. I'll try and post some more pics later.
