I got my Gambit today and I have the same thing on my base. Did you use any solvent or anything like that when wiping of the base. I tried to wipe it with a paper towel but it did not come off. The flame hand was good and the paint is pretty good. The right leg has very minor smearing, but not serious enough to send it back. It is a fantastic statue!!!

I got my Gambit today and I have the same thing on my base. Did you use any solvent or anything like that when wiping of the base. I tried to wipe it with a paper towel but it did not come off. The flame hand was good and the paint is pretty good. The right leg has very minor smearing, but not serious enough to send it back. It is a fantastic statue!!!

I just used my fingernail to scratch of the heavy residue then wiped it with a cloth applying a decent amount of pressure. I just kept rubbing till all the sticky residue was in a clump then just pulled it off. Can't ever tell it was there. Hope this helps.

Congrats Spike. I just got notice yesterday that my Exc will be converting also. I originally cancelled it, but having seen the Wolvie, I decided to go for it and get back on the list.

I was sort of afraid to open it when I heard some movement in the box. It turns out one of the heads was rolling around but thankfully there's no damage on the statue at all.
