i wil not contest that this is a very awesome piece but it doesnt look like her. in game she has a fat nose and downward turning eyes as well as back hair. the eye color isnt even the same. the eyebrow area is lower and is more congested too. not the same girl imo. the likeness is there but thats all.

That's really not a good picture from the game to use as comparison. Also keep in mind they redesigned her for the remake. For all we know they were told to try to have elements from both version.

Lara Croft is a brunette, she doesn't have black hair. The pic you posted her hair is wet giving it a darker appearance.

hahaha whatever, back/black/brown. i remember shes brunette from all the other games. doesnt change the fact that it doesent look like her, but a girl who resembles her. the purple hair is the most glaring, worst thing about the statue. monger, i usually am on your side about your criticisms, but to cross pollinate a character from 2 different games is really bad imo, not sure people who pay so much for an accurate statue would want this to happen. most people want accuracy, why would i want something i cant pin on a certain game? then wed be dealing with "likenesses".

And I completely effing disagree! But that's okay. I'm sure you didn't order her so we both win. You save money and I get this piece. So none of use lose anything in the end.

amen 2 that charger..i do want a lara piece n was tempted..but i looked at it like this…if i have to or am spending time trying 2 sell myself as to why i should get it, then i shouldn't get it…theres tons of other pieces out there that i will jump on in a heartbeat that 100% satisfy me…so no need not 2 if she isn't the one...

Yeah man, don't ever get a piece that you don't truly love. Because if you choose to settle for a piece that doesn't speak to your heart, then eventually whatever appeal that piece DID have, will wear off. Because if you choose to settle for a piece that doesn't speak to your heart, then eventually whatever appeal that piece DID have, will wear off. And then you'll be stuck with a piece that you'll become unsure of why you bought it in the first place.

lol- haha mines not wrong--and tbh i REALLY think SS will make one or someone will--theyre releasing the 'definitive' (cough another money suck) edition for ps4, and its already confirmed we'll have another game for next gen probably soon (i hope for late 2014 realistically mid 2015) so there will be interest etc..the first showing was great and in my mind the games can only get better…i honestly only liked the one SS pf of her where she looks like she's sliding down something..but i never really played/got into those earlier incarnations of lara…this one is the one that really pulled me in and I'm hooked so I'll wait for the one that makes me jump out towards it….I do hope you enjoy it though…although I am counting on the unreleased, unannounced version will be more accurate j/k

Pre-ordered this the day it went up, it'll be my first statue. I've been hoping for a game-accurate Lara for years, and while the SS pieces are really good, none of them really reflect the in-game character as much as I'd want. The Legend one comes closest, but I really dislike it's body and the pose.

This piece should turn out to be an all-around epic Lara.
