Darth Cruel
Super Freak
I suppose, but that strikes me as kind of a lame excuse. We buy these things because we want what we saw in the films, not some theoretically possible version of the character. That's not to say that the paint job is a deal killer or anything, but why not get it right? Unless this is already a production sample?
"we"? You got a mouse in your pocket? Or did you get elected to advocate for the group?
I absolutely do not buy these figures with the expectation that they look exactly like the character did in the movie. Personally, I find that to be unreasonable, and nothing more than food for angst.
"lame excuse"? I don't make excuses for anybody. I'll clarify my position. I am not a likeness Nazi. I do not hold to some unreasonable demand for likenesses to be perfect to any particular incarnation of the character. I am perfectly content with a likeness that is a good representation of the character. Much the same way I enjoyed the comic books even though the drawn characters looked nothing like the actors.
Now, on the other hand, I AM a Nazi for things like tight joints on the mannequins and details like functioning pouches. I absolutely do have an unreasonable expectation for that and I get pissed off if I get a figure that flops around like a rag doll or has molded pouches.
I play with these things, damnit!
