I want to see a comparison of the SST Gammy VS. Hasbros. I really don't think this figure will blow it away unfortunately and for the money it might be a pass for me...

Today's Ask Sideshow says there will be a second Gamorrean gaurd coming and it will have the "missing" axe.

Ok, so that raises the question, will be it be totally identical, will the "skirt" on this figure not be changed but on the axe figure it'll be longer to distinguish the two. Ultimately I want one with a longer "skirt" than the current one if possible, but ultimately, this set has all the weapons I could really care about.

The next piece you’ll be seeing is a second Gamorrean Guard, with a little more ‘unique’ detail to his portrait and the ‘missing’ axe that fans have been asking for. We’re calling him Gartogg, with some serious affection for the old ‘Tales from…’ novel.

Likely it's to get more use out of the body, which is understandable. Hammerhead will likely be made into the Jedi from Clone Wars to get reuse out of those parts.

They aren't "redoing" the figure, its a different character altogether, along the lines of the different ranks of the Sandtrooper squad.

I like the idea of a second Gammy. Good thing I didn't ordered 2 of the first Gammy. But I certainly hope SSC space out the release of the second one a bit from the first.
