For me, no matter the reason, how a character looks and behaves on screen is how they're defined. If Harrison Ford plays Han Solo, then a figure needs to look like Harrison Ford to look like Han Solo, having the right hair and a random face doesn't do it for me. As far as articulation and things, more is always nice, but the only minimum is that the figure be able to represent what we see the character doing on screen.
If you can take any still from ROTJ and make this figure pose just like the Gammy is in the still, then it's fine, if some of the more key poses you see them doing can't be achieved, then the sacrifice of articulation for aesthetics isn't the best choice.
