I have a question, just in case I missed something already posted, but has it been officially established (by Sideshow) that Gandalf will come with a Buck body? I mean the prototype may very well have the Buck, but has Sideshow actually said anything about the final product having the same... or is it just speculation because Sideshow has not said anything about him having the new body... yet?

If they haven't actually said so one way or the other, then isn't it possible, even likely that they will upgrade to the Promethius body when Gandalf goes into production?

Check the QnA for the 19th. Gandalf is officially on the Buck.

I just CANCELLED this and ordered another Indy.

Sorry, but I will never, EVER pay $90 for a figure on a Buck body.

A shame, too... GTG is vital. I may get this from a retailer or use a Gift Card when it inevitably hits Second Chance. :monkey1

Sorry to hear that, but I do share your pain. I think Gandy's gonna end up being worth it in the end, and nobody says they won't change their minds and use the new figure body later on. I'm not thrilled about the price with the buck body either, but I've been pestering Sideshow for Gandalf for too long to pass on him now! :monkey1

I really would like to hear Sideshow justify the cost increase.

Big deal he's on the buck body. Probably one of the last figures to be on it too. He comes with a lot of stuff and its been said these LOTR figures are by far the hardest to make. I'm not gonna cancel him that's for sure especially since it only cost me $8 bucks.

Well, I wouldn't have cancelled him if he only cost me $8 either. :lol

But $90? Almost $100 after shipping? No way... I just can't justify that. The math just doesn't add up for me at all.

Ya you can really tell that there is more time put in the LOTR figures over the SW figures just because the costumes in LOTR are super super complex. Things of beauty:eek:

It never does Carl. :lol As long as your totally in it adds but if there's any kind of doubt it just doesn't.

The LOTR figures are the hardest ones for SS to make they've siad that. The costumes are harder than SW (except armored), and maybe even Indy for that matter. He comes with a **** pile of stuff, amazing likeness, crazy detailing, etc. I can grasp the price at least. I don't like it mind you but I can grasp it.

:lol:lol:lol

I will not cancel it either. There is no way I would. Still..... it puts the Hobbit price debate in a whole new light though. :monkey1

It does that. The Hobbits I believe though is due to the new body more than anything on top of the other little things. Normally I'd say these would have been like $50.

I agree with ya Ringer.

Is his costume really that much more complex than Sidious/Palpatine, though? And that was TWO highly-detailed figures that came with as many (or more) accessories for only $30 more total. That's part of why I can't figure out GTG's pricepoint.
