Really, I don't see any reason they couldn't do buck heads in the same style, Hot Toys still has necked figures made of skintone casting, and their adapter is similar to Sideshow.

My guess is that his beard may have been a driving factor, soft beard to flex a big and make the figure more poseable. That was one concern I had when the proto debuted and it was a Buck head.

Nothing here for Gandalf either, however, the 10-12 day notices went out on the 8th, so by that, it'd be tomorrow-Monday for a window, and that's assuming they don't push it out any because of still trying to get Obi-Wan's and other figures out.

I think the price may have had something to do with it though.

No official word from Sideshow regarding the direction of this line so far. I hope they continue with it.

I really would love to have more LOTR 12-inch figures in my collection. Not just the Fellowship, but also King Théoden, Éomer, Saruman, Elven Warriors, Gondor Soldiers, Rohirrim Riders, Orcs and many more ..............

krayt, i think the waitlist conversion is automatic i.e. someone cancels the server sends an email to the next guy in the queue. not strange, just damn lucky.
