Hmm...even without the difference in the base, the Morgul Lord looks significantly larger. I always thought that the Nazgul were about the same size as a regular human. You could easily fit two Gandalf heads into the Morgul Lord.

Most definitely agree here...apparently, the LSB line are not meant to be IN SCALE. The Morgul Lord and Sauron obviously are not and the Gandalf is much smaller than the Morgul Lord.

I would imagine that the Balrog will be small in scale as well (perhaps the size of the Cave Troll...)

Based on all this, don't think Sideshow ever meant for them to be in scale...hence the use of Legendary Scale Bust...they can make each in what they determine as LEGENDARY scale to paint the right picture...kind of a pretty cool idea if you really think about it.

Current topic is exactly why I decided to trade my ML bust. I prefer the smaller size (and smaller price tag) of GTG LSB. Hoping twilight WK is in same scale as Gandalf. I don't think I'd be able to properly display the ML; envious of those who can.

I would expect the Balrog to be the largest of them all, due to price. I think the more physical polystone/weight translates directly into initial price point offering.

I believe when the LSB line was first announced, Sideshow clearly stated that they would be in different scales depending on the character being produced.

Yeah, I think most everyone understands that. It's just that I didn't expect that much scale variation. But I agree with MesaScott. The GTG bust is the perfect size for me. Large enough to allow for some incredible detail, but not so large that space becomes a significant problem.

Sorry, grond33. I'd be happy to oblige, but I don't own any of the other LSBs. But, I was playing around with my camera tonight and took this new shot of Gandalf that I kind of liked:

Anyone who's looking for one - I have a brand new sealed one for sale in the commerce section - I had forgot to cancel it prior to it being shipped. It's #6/450

Thanks

Mine isn't close to shipping, so I'll probably get something amazing, like 437/450.

Beautiful pic, RoboDad. :)

Geb -- thanks for the gallery! If anything, it tells me that there's no point in being thorough with this line, as the busts could easily be from different companies. There's nothing similar about them -- neither size, nor scale, nor bases, nor poses.

Very nice pics Robo. I kind of wish I had this but at the same time am ok I don't too. Not sure honestly.

I think Gandalf looks the best of the 4, with cave troll coming in 2nd place.

Sauron and Witchking, while impressive in size, just feel incomplete to me.

I have to agree, but one cannot compare gandalf and the cave troll to sauron and the witchking because they are all armor. Gandalf and the cave troll are definately my fav's as well but the sheer presence and size of sauron and the witchking are remarkable in person, and they do also have the most WOW factor according to my friends and family :)

And yet that's exactly why I don't want them. They are just glorified helms to me. They don't really offer anything different about their respective characters other than size. And since I already have decent-sized versions of both helms, I didn't see the need for larger ones. Gandalf and the Cave Troll, on the other hand, do offer more than just a supersized version of previous incarnations.
