The Grey version might be more iconic, but the White gives a better opportunity for a highly detailed costume. I can see the White taking longer to produce than the Grey (he is more delay-worthy) and I look forward to seeing a preview in the coming months.

Let's just be patient!!! They threw us a bone and gave us an unorthdox confirmation ahead of schedule. We should be grateful that they took pity on us and now we can rest from our weekly newsletter-with-no-LOTR-PF-update blues. It will be a while before we see pictures, but at least we know that they OFFICIALLY haven't forgotten us. And as I hoped, there are now three in development. Very good to know!!

If we can get Gandalf, Arwen, and Boromir announced over the course of the next 12 months then this line will finally have some momentum.

Wonderful news! I was hoping that we'd get the White version of Gandalf for the PF! Fantastic!

Now, I wonder if the production delays have been because they've been sculpting him sitting atop his white horse (or an eagle. )

Maybe we'll get his moth friend as the exclusive accessory.

Remember CM is hit and miss so you might end up wanting SS's version regardless.

But I have never seen a bad Gandalf sculpt. I have seen plenty of bad Aragorn sculpts so CM's is no surprise. I expect their Gandalf to be excellent.

the small pic looks promising and hence I sold my gandalf the white SSW statue to a friend in Turkey, I can say that I am glad with this announcement.

At least now officially we know that the line will not be cancelled. Accordingly I can wait a few months more without any queries.

Having seen the original Gandalf the White costume & staff at the LOTR's exhibition, the detail on the PF could be mind-boggling.
