Got mine today, #380. Won't have time to open it until later, but I'm really looking forward to adding it to my display; I have Lurtz, Frodo and the original Daddy Balog in a Detolf. Need to get another one soon!

Has anyone received a low number yet? Just curious as to how they ship these out. It must be random, as I placed my order within moments of the pre-order listing, and I received a relatively high number . Oh well, the numbers don't mean that much anyway, but for some reason I like to get one that is at least double-digits!

Got mine today. The likeness is fine IMO and there are no problems with it in that regard. The beard is a bit thick but I'm sure its pretty hard to pull off even the SSW bust beard is a bit thick. The costume is amazing and the pose in person isn't as goofy as I remembered. IMO it not only looks like Sir Ian but does captures the essence/likeness of Gandalf. Overall this piece is quite nice and really is a very solid addition to the PF line from LOTR.

Mine arrived in a cut up box... but the inner box was ok. I opened him up breifly... I just picked up the body ti inspect cause I'm moving soon and just repacking it was a pain in the arse!!! He looks awesome... a bit tan, but I like him. My mother in law was there when I opened him (she has never seen any og my collectable yet) and she really like it. I told her to hold judgement until she see's all of them. oh I got # 89

Question? His arms are not attached are they? Where are they packed?

Well I got mine today and I gotta say I love it. Is it perfect, no. But it's really damn good. The costume is the most amazing I've ever seen on a PF EVER!!! It blows any away other PF I've seen. Part of the reason why I was so excited about this line to start with.

The sculpt is good, but not great. The beard is a bit thick (just not as good as the SSW). I actually love the pose and think it looks great with the way the cape lays.

All in all, I'm very happy with the way this piece looks and am more than happy to add it to my collection.

The beard doesn't look so white in person. It looks very good. The pictures with the really white beards, do you guys have your flash set really high?

Got mines today and I absolutely love it!!! Everything about it is perfect and from far away, even the beard! Pics shall follow as soon as I find my darn camera.

Just got home from work and unwrapped #261. Awesome!!! After all the fuss about the pose and the likeness, etc., this is just an incredible piece. I have no problem with the likeness, its spot on McKellen, the head doesn't seem squished at all like it does in some of the pics. The costume is perfect, the "apron" working out just fine, again much better than the prototype/production photos.

A complete "Wow!" of a piece. I can't wait for the Aragorn PF now!

BTW.....I can't imagine how people can display it without the exclusive? This is one of the few PFs where the exclusive is a must-have. The bare hand on the regular does nothing for me. The pose looks so much better in person and the awkwardness from the preview pictures is not there.

How do I get the wrinkles out of the fabric?

I definitely like the off white apron much better than the white version on the prototype at SDCC. Although I did like the leathery material used on the white apron at SDCC more than the felt they used on the production piece. Unfortunately that material I would think wasn't practical as it was a little too stiff.

I still don't like the pose very much but it's really not that big of a deal. Overall the figure is fantastic. Awesome tailoring!

With all due respect to the PF, I do like the GtW Bust face and beard a little more that the PF. That being said, I don't not like the PF as it's still great.

The only other two items which have been mentioned are the over-sized head of his staff and the incorrect color scheme on the grip of Glamdring. The over-sized head isn't a big issue but knowing the sword grip is painted wrong kinda bugs me. Not sure why they would do that since it's more of an effort to paint it rather than leave it all one color.

In regards to display options, I definitely display it the exclusive way with Glamdring at the ready.
