You should care if GAS goes up even if you ride a BIKE!.. or skateboard.... If you eat food and like clothing or buy collectables or stuff you should care.

Gas prices affect those prices also, they dictate the cost of basic living items.

Honestly because some people act like it ruins their lives that they can't buy toys. Then then feel the need to do nothing but ^^^^^ about the prices. I understand as I stated previously that it was an extreme scenerio. I am just tired of the constant complaints over price. In my mind if you don't like the price then don't pay for it.

Again, this is a toy collecting forum and should be used to talk about collecting toys. And not being able to afford a toy is a pretty relevant topic about collecting said toy.

It is one thing to ^^^^^ it is another thing to beat a dead horse. There are also threads where people can go to and voice there opinion about this stuff. Specifically about prices of figures. However, I get miffed when I go in a thread looking to read about a new upcoming figure and people are going back and forth ^^^^^ing about the price. It just gets old to see it over and over.

I agree 100% that's why those discussions should be included in those places.

Well. Maybe it can be isolated to individual threads. But then again, I don't know why the individual threads have to be spammed with all the stupid "I got my order in" or "got my 3-5 day alert" posts either when there are specific threads for that too.

I agree, those are a bit obscene. But must also admit I have done it.

In my mind it just isn't that simple. People still want to buy these "toys" but can not afford to. It does ruin the lives of some people because this hobby is what they live for. If you are tired of constant complaints then why read them? Same type of situation I think.

What if you loved T.G.I. Fridays but they raised their prices to a point where you could not afford to eat there anymore? WOuldn't you feel the right complain just a little. This gas situation is a new thing for folks and they are trying to deal with it in the ways that they know how. Who could understand better than the people that feel the same way about "toys"?

This is a forum to have fun and share ideas, complaints and chat about common interests. Part of that is commenting on things in the world - but complaining about complainers isn't terribly productive.

There will always be something more important than anything discussed on this forum - but that's not why we come here. You go to a movie theater for a very different reason than you go to work, or go to church. There's room in our lives for a variety of interests.

That is what they are doing on TV these days. You can't turn on the TV without seeing a news commercial with a news person at a gas station talking about gas prices. It's relevant and these things pop up in everyday conversations.

I wish I didn't have to read them. The problem is sifting through all the back and forth crap to try to find the worth while posts. That is why I gripe. I want to read about the stuff but hate sifting through back and forth arguments. Make specific threads with arguements and argue away. That's what I do.

But this is a discussion board not a strictly information board. I guess that is my point. It seems kind of selfish of you to put down the gripes or concerns of others so easily for your own personal gratification. That seems to be in direct conflict with your starving child argument. Where is your compassion for your fellow struggling collector?

Yeah it never stops the complainers. I struggle with this. I am a major complain about complainers. Partially it is because of my douche status. I just can't keep my mouth shut when I get annoyed.
