I honestly like the idea. It would stop the mortar and boom shot whoring. Well, I doubt Ill will care if he kills his team as well with the boom. :lol

Just teasing you Mr. Jedi. :D

I agree 100%. When McHavyck and I used to play this was the standard.

Yeah in the right context. Like if we did it to Jon. :lol

Seriously from now on if I ever get the chance to host Ima turn it on.

I had a blast team killing Jon 3-4 times. The best one was after I did it 2-3 times I called him back after he ran off the next round. I said "Hey Jon, come here". He actually came back and said "huh" and I shottied him again :rotfl

Although I think friendly fire should probably be on, I don't see any good coming from it. :monkey3

In regards to points... If you kill your own teammate, it should probably count as a death to the killer and no death against the killee. :lecture

There is an easy fix for that. We should play with team kill on. Would make people think twice before picking up the mortar. :lol

You'd be seeing a whole lot less of me playing if we start playing with that crap on.

Its funny that the ones that want that turned on are always the ones getting killed by those said weapons. I like everyone else give Ill crap about using the Boom but I guess in the end I don't see what the big deal is. Its a weapon he's good with and makes a lot of damage. Get there and kill him before he does just like folks try to do to me on Mortar.

I totally do. People will have to use the boomshot, mortars, and grenades the way they are designed. How many times have you been in battle with someone only to have some douche fire the boomshot and take your hard earned kill?

I didn't mean the gameplay itself. :monkey3

I don't care what weapon I get killed with. For the record you have only killed me a few times with the mortar. Team kill being on adds to the strategy of the game. You can't just blindly press B and get a free ride. You are only saying you wouldn't like it if team kill was turned on because you would take out half of your team.

I also think it would heighten communication. Your team would have to direct your fire. This is more realistic IMO and adds to the experience.

Friendly fire is ok as long as you know it's on

But I experienced playing it with Jon & let's just say it shows exactly how accurate he was. Some peeps just panic & spray their shots anywhere

Well Josh, I like playing the game w/o either just whoring for 1 weapon EVERY single round it's on a map or just trying to stop said weapon whore from getting it.

I might grab snipe a lot, but I don't whore for it the way I did on Gears 1. Everything get boring after a while. You either rush mortar or plant frag grenades and hide near them almost EVERY round. That's how you choose to play and that's fine, but that gets boring to me after a while.

We never play with team kill on so there is nothing wrong with mixing it up. If you choose not to play because we change something from time to time then that is your choice.

I see only problems and arguments happening if this option is turned on. I am very guilty of running around a corner at the same time as my teammate comes from the other side and I fire my shottie into them. Now with it turned off it is harmless but turn it on and that teammate aint gonna be none too happy. So I guess you can count me out if its turned on.

How about we vote? I was going to do a poll but then non-players would vote as well. For the record, I'm in favor of playing with friendly fire on.

+1000000

You can just lob the mortar all over the map and get lucky anymore. You might take half your team out by mistake. Honestly, that's why I hate the mortar So much. It's a ni skill, no tactics weapon when team kill is off. Just rush, lob and get lucky with no consequences.
