it's getting a lot of praise on the gears forums, people stating that it's now fun to play and actually takes team tactics to win

In addition to triple experience throughout the event, players will be able to play in an all-new tactical mode across all multiplayer game types (including Horde). Players can expect two big changes in tactical mode, increased weapon damage and reduced ammo counts, along with a few subtle tweaks such as increasing down-but-not-out health so revives are still possible.

You have to be careful. Rush in and die. Bullets do a lot more damage and Hammer burst is almost unstoppable now. If 2 people see you and shoot you, you're down within a second and dead.

Instead oof rushing in with shottie now, you hang back with hammer burst.

Yea, leveled up from 34-39 last night. The HammerBurst is actually pretty powerful now. PLUS, you almost always have the other team with 2-3 bots, so that's pretty good (even though the bots are pretty tough)

Seems like a great idea, but a little too late IMO. MW2 comes out this week and after that I'm sure their player count will drop big time.

Looks like Double XP is now permanent. And some tweaks have been made to weapon damage and smoke frag stun has been removed.
