I totally agree. That's the reason I stopped playing. Still love the universe, but the MP is just not what it should have been.....

So, what is the deal with GOW 3? Will there be one or no?

Yup, I choose not to play. It's not worth getting all pissed off and annoyed over a game.

I agree. I usually jump on once every month or two, play for an hour - have fun and that's it!

Uncharted 2 MP is getting all of my time right now (when not at work, of course!)

I was at KitFisto's house last weekend. I said hey lets play GOW. LOL! We lasted maybe an hour. :banghead The game is just beyond irritating to play.

Nevermind, not worth it.

I get what you're trying to say about playing with friends, but for me it just boils down to the fact I no longer have any fun playing this game. It's hard to have fun or think about just playing with friends when it's way beyond just frustrating.

The last two times I have played where when I had friends over. I didn't even want to play, but did because they wanted to and within 10 min I was in a bad mood over how seriously inconsistant and frustrating this game is. When we were playing on Friday I had to quit before I lost another controller. I was so PO'ed at that **** who was glitching off the map every time he was the last one on his team alive. The game itself is inconsistant and frustrating, but then when you pile a-holes that glitch and lag all the time it's just no fun for me at all. It just puts me in a bad mood most of the time.

I'd rather play Halo 3 or Modern Warfare 2 when that comes out and drop Gears for a good long time.

i think there's a general presumption by some people that we only play gears whereas it's only recently i've (and others) returned to it for a few games.
There's also an assumption that if you don't play gears then you're excluded. Once again this is not the case, most nights we are all playing different games but get together in a party to chat and BS. It is not my or others fault if people are that socially inept to join.

this post is not aimed nor about any one person

I generally don't and won't just jump into someone's party uninvited. It's just not my style. I have no idea if people are in a party talking about something private or are playing a game they want to concentrate on and don't want outside interruption. I only join when invited.

Yup! I think there is a lot of misunderstanding. I don't like to talk about life while gaming. I actually hate it. Give me a call if you want to talk. Some people like to talk and thats ok. I would just rather not. I game to escape my every day goings on. Not to delve into it. I miss playing with the crew. I really do. I am very competitive as well. So playing an unfair game like GOW just doesn't work for me. If I am playing with friends I want an even playing field. Not host crap and other advantages. It makes it a horrible experience.

Will everyone be flockig back to this broken game for the tripple xp week? Started today.

Friday, November 6, 9 AM EST, through Monday, November 16, 9 AM EST, Gears of War 2 gamers get a nine-day multiplayer extravaganza. In addition to triple experience throughout the event, players will be able to play in an all-new tactical mode across all multiplayer game types (including Horde). Players can expect two big changes in tactical mode, increased weapon damage and reduced ammo counts, along with a few subtle tweaks such as increasing down-but-not-out health so revives are still possible. Also during the event, Public Horde’s difficulty will be bumped to hardcore, and playlists can include individual game types—meaning you can play exactly what you want, when you want. Prepare for the challenge, and more than ever, remember to take cover!

Will there be triple XP in private Horde?
