Aha! I don't have any spares. Dammit. I need to get some made.Sort of, I took the Cyclops "Laser Eye" and cut the sleeves off and painted the blue piping yellow.

Awesome repaint and hair root job. That's one of the best custom Famke Janssen Jean Grey that I have seen. I have always been a bigger fan of of the OG x-men cast. She’s mine! I love her and am so thankful One Sixth Salon gave her the perfect t finishing touch! View attachment 586335
Yes, and Storm please.I really hope Soosoo Toys keep going with the X Men, I really dying for a Jean 1/6! specially the Apocalypse costume...
Those final suits in Apocalypse were soooooo good! Such a shame they got rid of the in Dark PhoenixI really hope Soosoo Toys keep going with the X Men, Im really dying for a Jean 1/6! specially the Apocalypse costume...
Yes I would love a Mystique. Some people have used pastels to colour a seamless body but I have not seen one this dark. I don't think it would work with a standard body. I saw a few Youtube videos using shoe polish to stain seamless bodies (turning caucasian bodies to african skin tones) so it might be possible to try this with a blue shoe polish. I would probably settle for a sheer body stocking featuring her scales to be honest.Hello and happy new year.
I would really like to do a custom Mystique with a full blue "nude" body. Maybe a Hot Toys Harley Quinn body, because I think it's hard plastic (easier to repaint) with the tatoos (maybe not all of them, but I think one of the Harley figure has a hard plastic body)
But it's probably really hard to do. I don't understand why Toys Era didn't do this look. If the seamless body was too hard to make, why not a body with visible joints ?
Are people really allergic to visible joints now ? I think most people would still prefer the "naked" look even with visible joints.
Personaly, I don't really trust seamless bodies. I'm afraid it will rott over time.
Hasbro did a really nice 6" figure of Rebecca Romijn Mystique. I would be happy with a 12" version of it.
I would suspect not. Generally they just do the neck and occasionally the forearms. For my own personal tastes, I think I would still prefer to sculpt scales on a hard plastic body and paint it. I don't mind visible joints.
But it's gonna be a looooot of work. I don't know...
Do you know if the Toys Era Mystery body is blue under the suit ?
I saw Xman1990 did an interesting job on a body page 104
Ok, thank you. It's probably true.I would suspect not. Generally they just do the neck and occasionally the forearms.
I think I have a spare. I am keeping the uniform for Rogue and the body for a custom Uhura.Ok, thank you. It's probably true.
Additional question : do you know where to find a Halle Berry head from the Figure Masters Windstorm figure ? I know the figure is impossible to find now, but I don't need the body or suit, just the head with sculpted hair.
Is someone selling one ?
OhI think I have a spare. I am keeping the uniform for Rogue and the body for a custom Uhura.
Ping me a PM. I will need to check that I can find it but I am pretty sure I gave the long-haired head to my grand-niece so I have one sculpted and one long-haired head left.Oh
Are you selling it ?
I would be interested. I don't need the uniform or anything else except the head with short hair.
I've been speaking to Pabs Customs about trying to figure out a formula fir an X1 Mystique. Custom head and either boot polish or some other kind of dye on a pale Phicen body and then laboriously paint the scales away from any joints. It might work but would be a real experiment.Has anyone removed their Mystique's (Toys Era The Mystery) outfit/costume, to see what the full body looks like underneath?
Commissioning a Romijn style head from Pabs Customs would be easy enough (my Nightcrawler looks great) but pointless without a plan for the body. I think once my Kitty and Beast are done, Mystique is next on my list. I suggested seamless as I assumed it is easier to stain a silicon body rather than paint the hard plastic limbs?Yeah I would like a X1 Mystique too, and since I don't mind visible joints, I was thinking about painting a body (like a Hot Toys Harley Quinn body) but
first : I don't really like the Jennifer Lawrence head and I can't sculpt a Rebecca Romijn one...
two : It requires a LOT of work to paint or sculpt scales all over her body
So I gave up on the idea...
What head did you use for the comic magik? It's perfect!Tnk u! I just need Magma to complete the team. But I have not found the right head.
But the scales can only be painted on a silicon body, not sculpted in relief.Commissioning a Romijn style head from Pabs Customs would be easy enough (my Nightcrawler looks great) but pointless without a plan for the body.
