Congrats to the Warriors for win #73...much deserved :hi5:

I wanted a Spurs-Mavs first round match up...its always nice lay the smack down on the little ponies but will have to settle for the first round bye that is the Grizzlies...

Cavs-Pistons = Cavs in 5
Raptors-Pacers = Pacers in 6
Heat-Hornets= Heat in 5
Hawks-Celtics= Hawks in 5

GSW-Rockets= GSW in 4
Spurs-Grizzlies= SA in 5
OKC-Mavs= OKC in 4
LAC-Blazers= LAC in 6

Sigh...I don't want to by THAT guy...but scoring 60 points on 50 shot attempts isn't very efficient.

For his 81 point game against the Raptors, Kobe took "only" 46 shots.

He had carte blanche to shoot last night in his farewell game.

I appreciate what he's done over his career, but when I saw the headline this morning that he scored 60, I immediately checked to see how many shots he took to get there.

Yeah, time really flies. I still remember watching him his rookie year, and how he airballed two attempts to win the playoff series against the Jazz. I wasn't a Lakers fan, but I was a big fan of Eddie Jones, and kind of shook my head when they traded him so Kobe could start. But what did I know? :lol

He didn't let that destroy him, but rather used that as fuel.

I'm so excited for the playoffs to finally be underway. I think its gonna get interesting this year

Okay...in y'all's opinion, who's the greatest Laker ever?

For me, when I think of the Lakers, I still think of Magic Johnson and Showtime first, no question. I'm sure the young-uns/millenials will choose Kobe, though.

That's a really damn hard question, because you have so many different kinds of players, who played in totally different times with different rules and different kinds of opponents. As a kid of the '80s, and a huge Larry Bird fan, my personal choice for favorite Laker is Magic (not counting one of my favorite all-time players--Karl Malone--since his stint was a short, desperate grab for a championship). George Mikan was probably the most dominant in his place and time, though he played for multiple leagues, and his Lakers weren't in LA. But Kareem was putting up gaudy numbers in his time, as did Wilt Chamberlain.

Kobe is in the top tier, but not nearly the best or most important Laker in my book. Had he won those early titles without Shaq, it may be a different story.

I'm not anywhere close to being a Laker fan but I'll never forget how dominate Shaq was when he was with them

Magic for me as well...if Lew/Kareem had played his entire career in LA then KAJ (esp. factoring in alma mater) but if we're talking greatest LAKER, it's Magic. In fact, I have Magic #3 all time behind MJ, KAJ...
