Davis is decent but Lakers still need better players..Glad they ditched Ball..what a liability that was overhyped

I'm sure they'll get another big name and give Lebron another super team. It's not like they have time to develop young players with Bron in his 17th season. The Pelicans have very young team now with a lot of potential to develop into something great.

Lebron is ok pissing away any hint of respect. This is what the 3rd super team?

Leborn and AD makes a super team? Then what was KD, Klay, Cousins, Green, Steph considered?

It might be his third.

All Stars teammates in finals

2007 -1
2011- 3
2012 - 3
2013- 3
2014- 3
2015-2
2016-1
2017-2
2018-2

4 times he had more AS than opposing teams in the finals.

I would imagine this would be the case the majority of the time with any NBA team who win it all?

Davis a super team? :lol

Did his team even make the playoffs

Overrated ..Lebron still needs help

The Warriors were considered an urgent care medical wing in 2019. [emoji848]

I agree the Lakers aren’t a super team (yet), but they do have two of the top 10 players in the league.

Davis is better than decent. He is third all time in Player Efficiency Rating. Second is LeBron James, first is Michael Jordan.

He's averaged 20 PPG and 10 RPG for six seasons (no other player has a streak longer than three).

Anthony Davis has had ninety-nine 30-point, 10-rebound games since entering the league in 2012-13; that's 25 more than Russell Westbrook, the next closest player.

Yes, the Lakers will still need to fill out their starting five and bench, but as Grimlock mentioned, that's two of the top 10 players in the NBA on the same team.

How will LeBron and AD coexist? Not sure yet...but pundits initially questioned how Dwyane Wade and James would fit together, and how James Harden and CP3 would last year as well. Talent and high basketball IQ coexist well together. Yes, neither James or Davis can be considered sharp shooters, but they shoot well enough to keep defenses honest, and other teams will be hard-pressed to defend the pick on roll based on both players physical attributes alone. If the defender goes under the pick, AD is big enough to overpower quicker defenders to the paint and fast enough to beat bigger centers. If the defender sags under to double team AD, LeBron gets an extra head of steam attacking the basket. It'll be interesting to see how Frank Vogel puts the offense together.

Excellent point....but your point also makes it's own counter argument. All those were before the year 2000 (obviously). Today's NBA is about having multiple stars on the team. Everytime I hear complaints about players joining forces, I just shrug. The genie's is out of the bottle...there's no going back. You can choose to accept it, or complain about it. I grew up watching Jordan and the Bulls dominate the league. The NBA of today is vastly different from the NBA I grew up with. And I accept it.

Wade had to change his game in order to adapt to LBJ. Both Bosh and Wade made the change. I doubt at this point LBJ will play off-ball, so Davis will most likely have to adapt to LBJ.

But are there really that many super teams in the NBA? The Warriors were all home grown, except KD. Most other good teams/contenders have two top guys, which is not so different from previous decades.

Number of Warrior All Stars

I’m not worried about AD at all, he’s a stud. The concerns are about Lebron as he gets older and his game declines, and how much he can bring to the table. AD is a generational talent entering his prime. LeBron is arguably the best player in history (or top-10), with a slowly declining game. If LeBron plays more of a point forward role, lowers is minutes, and lets AD carry the scoring I could see them being extremely competitive. They definitely need a handful of 3 and D guys though...but don’t all teams?

Klay is done for the year. Opens the door back up for Lakers and Spurs. Nuggets will be the team to beat in the West though if they stay healthy. Jazz will be very good again too. I have 0 faith in OKC or Houston. They are very overrated. Just glad GSW are done. I was sick of seeing them.

Yeah, the west will be wide open this year, which is great news for the Spurs and Lakers. I think the teams to watch out for though would be Denver and Portland. Denver learned a lot this past year and if Portland gets Nurkic back playing the way he was before the injury they will be a lethal team. Should be a fun year without the one dominate team.

Ironic how Raptors players are all from the states . Is there at least one natural Canadian player :lol

Talk about a team made of ringers . I’m watching the victory Parade on NBA TV. I expected to see a majority of caucasians on tv but there is a lot of diversity in Canada :horror

About 80% of the fans being shown are minorities. I heard it’s easier to become a Canadian citizen..I guess I got my answer :lol

All the Euro-Canadian folk are into hockey.

Fixed this for you.... and yes a very diverse group of people in Canada.

I considered Portland but I don't know if I trust Lilliard to take them to the next level and their defense is just OK. But who knows. I just like that it's wide open now with GSW being just an average team now. Lakers will be very good with AD as long as he stays healthy.
