Okay, so I am new to the hobby.

My dad and step mom surprised me with a DX Keaton Batman for Christmas and I am hooked.

My DX Joker just arrived today and I pre ordered an 89 Batmobile a month or two ago.

Arriving also today was the MMS69 Joker from dark Knight.

My question is this: what are the different categories/common features of Hot Toys figures.

Both DX figures come with loads of accessories and moving eyes. The DK Joker I just got has neither. Do only DX figures have the moving eyes?

Any other general info on HT products I should know?

Thanks!

Jared

Yes, only the DX Hot Toys come with moving eyes (Hot Toys calls it PERS). Congrats on your great start to collecting and welcome to the board! :clap :wave

Thanks man. I must say when the Joker showed up (DK 1st release) I was somewhat underwhelmed having only had DX figures previously.

My advice to you sell what you have and buy a goldfish. This is a dangerous hobby. Your best figure is your most recent and the older ones take up room!!!

HUH? I could've sworn this came out well after Christmas. Has time really gone by that fast?

It's so sad and true. I can't believe I'm selling the items I'm selling.

Haha, so I"m finding out. When the Tumbler gets here, I know I'm in trouble.

You're right, they preordered it for me and gave me the email confirmation on Christmas!

First off, welcome!!!!

I kinda agree...this stuff is like geek crack. My best advice, honestly, allow yourself certain pieces only, or this stuff gets out-of-hand. Like 2 a year...

It was spring 2010 when I purchased my first 1/6th scale figure from Sideshow. It was winter of 2011 when my eyes opened to Hot Toys. The rest is history..........buy the goldfish man!!!!

I'll trade you 3 goldfish for your batman stuff they are really nice goldfish, hell I'll throw in the tank and some food:)
Seriously though it even has an ornament in the tank so jump on it quick:)
I wish I had parents buying me hot toys lucky bugger mine get me socks for christmas.
Good advice though stay away from this site it will seriously leave you broke.
It's like the biggest pissing contest for geeks and you'll never be happy untill you get one more and then hot toys will release another and another.
Saying that welcome, but you have been warned;)

True story, my dad printed me out the email confirmation from this page about 15 Christmases ago. It's only humorous now, because I had to twist his arm to do it. The set was $150, which was ridiculous money back then. And I said "But Dad, you get 5 of them in one set!!"

I think back, Sideshow was selling a set of 5 figures for $150. Now, you can barely even buy one figure from them with $150.

Ahhhh, memories. . .

I wish I never passed on that goldfish... I would be a rich man today. :lol

Thanks for the welcome guys. I'm afraid I'm already addicted. Just got my fourth figure today and am expecting number 5 tomorrow and number 6 on Saturday.

Sheesh.

lol, I sometimes feel the same way. But at the same time, I always try to buy something that I really like (hopefully not just at the time) so that I can enjoy my collection in it's totality
