I got my Cody late yesterday, and I actually felt dirty afterwards, as if I whored myself out to get it. Irrational reaction? Maybe so, but I've been down this dark road before. They're like the Cosa Nostra of the collecting world and it annoys me to no end. I know going in that I'm going to be frustrated, the servers are going to implode before the preorder starts, and I'll be running my hands through my hair frantically and will have the mouth of the potty. My chances of surviving a shotgun blast between the eyes are better than my chance of getting a GG preorder without a struggle. Damn you, GG... I need an intervention because the completist in me simply cannot walk away.
To the GG PGM members - truthfully, are there any benefits to paying for the upgrade? I was skeptical about paying for the chance to take it in the posterior every single time there's a preorder. I was appalled when I saw the membership option and my hostility prevented me from reading the details.

All you get is a chance to enter a raffle for a small number of leftovers. You are by no means guaranteed an exclusive after a convention. And if you have been following the last raffle for the Japanese clone bust, you will see that only people in the northeastern US were selected as winners. So there's some debate as to the fairness of it all. There have been no PG exclusives available for sale through the GG site only to PG members. We still don't know what the PG membership gift is, but we are expecting a few little things rather than a single bust or something cool like that. I am thinking it will be a little plastic bust up and a GG keychain/mouse pad, etc.
So at this point it's not a sure thing at all as to whether or not to pay the fifty bucks. If it guaranteed you an exclusive it would be worth it, but it doesn't. It's just an expensive lottery ticket right now.

I have so far won 3 (B&W Vader Leia and Luke) out of 8 raffles so I could be worse off. The only exclusives I dont have at the moment are Gree Bly and Neyo so I need to get those some how. Maybe I will win a 5 pack but Im really doubting it.

Is anyone going to renew their PG membership? Unless they really impress me with the gift, I'm not going to. $50 just for a chance to win the right to buy stuff, rip-off. I've won a few raffles but with the Neyo fiasco, I've lost faith in that system. At least with MR's paid CS membership, members get chances to buy exclusives early and have specific exclusives just for CS members. GG, take a note from MR's page and do that for you PG members and take a note from Sideshow in the customer service area.
I don't know. The reason I might simply is they might pull the Commander stunt with something LOTR next year or hell even more clones. So I'm leaning towards doing so despite the ass raping they keep giving us.

I believe after Bacara gets done and that's like August. Probably Sept/Octish for the 5 pack.

If you happen to win a Bly and I dont and you allready have one could I buy it from you. I am optimistic about maybe winning the 5 pack but I am still going to try and get as many of them before that as possible. I would really like to get Bly and Bacara through the raffle or before they come out.
Loki do you think Baltimore Comic Con will be as crazy as SDCC or CIV. I hear its not a very big con but I still cant travel that far while Im in school just to buy a $50 bust and come home. Also you never know the PG gift could be a Harry Potter bust for all we know.
I heard that the FP store in London still has Blys. So anyone in London who could swing by and pick up some for everyone here who has not got one would be great.

Never been, but from what I hear, it's one of the smallest. There should be a lot available after the show. Mark has first dibs on mine if he can't go for helping me with Malak and Tom is next in line for helping with the Harry light up bust.
Mark, if you're serious, I wouldn't have a problem with that. I only collect LOTR, HP, and EU SW busts so the rest are all yours if you're cool with that. Shoot me a PM and we can discuss the details when I get back Monday.
I'm very doubtful if I will again. I haven't seen any benefits yet to the membership. I won't enter the raffles and there was no demarkation between the regular members and the PGM for the SDCC preordering. Even when we get their membership gift, I have a feeling it's gonna be something I don't collect in the first place. So basically I will have paid $50 for something I don't want.
They had big plans and I believe they had (have?) every intention of following through, but until they become more savvy concerning CS and listening and responding to their clientele as though we may mean something to them, I won't subject myself with dealing directly with them.
