Last year we had an "email group" that the first person to get the email then forwarded it onto the rest of the group, but we didn't plan ahead this year!

I was very late in the game last year...Tomandshell helped me out the day of the pre-order with the proper link. I was trying to score a Malfoy to return a favor for fellow Freak board member, Abstractharmony.

Now I'm looking to score a Luna for my daughter.

New e-mails arriving is not easily accessable while I'm on-line. I would have to keep sigining in and out in order to check for new mail.

I was hoping that the link to the pre-orders would either be posted on this thread or if I could request a PM as well.

I wouldn't trust the email, I didn't get the CIV email until 2 hours after I preordered. Just check the blog, they always update the blog first. The emails I guess goes out at the same time but in batches.

The key word in the update is "sometimes after 1pm," this could mean anywhere from 1pm to 5pm. This is just poor planning. GG should have made sure everything was running nice and smooth before telling us when to preorder. They've already delayed it once and some people got hosed because of that.

At least with Luna you have a shot... 300 pre-orders available. The Glorfindel is the one everyone is going to miss on.

Well, Luna is a VERY important character in an already VERY successful bust line. I'm under no illusions that she will be tough to get if I miss the pre-order window.

I think Glorfindel is for completist only... but that edition size just shows how evil GG is.

That update was in the blog... I haven't gotten an email with the update either, so who knows if they even sent one.

My guess is they aren't searchable until live...

Well, the only good news for me is, five chances to get Luna and Glorfindel... this pre-order; three days at the con; and as a last resort, the non-attendee order if I miss out the other ways. Not good odds really...

I don't make it a habit to deal with Gentle Giant exclusives... I stopped the SW bust and maquette collection LONG ago. Now this situation makes me glad that my business with them is so infrequent.

Was last year's Clone Trooper Con exclusive handled the same way? For some reason I was able to get one in line at the GG booth. Then again, I couldn't score the Sirius nor Malfoy busts at all.

Was last year's Clone Trooper Con exclusive handled the same way? For some reason I was able to get one in line at the GG booth. Then again, I couldn't score the Sirius nor Malfoy busts at all.

For some reason, the Clone Trooper was pretty easy to get last year, but Malfoy was a nightmare for some. I had pre-ordered the Malfoy, so he was just a pickup, but I managed to just walk up and get a Trooper without much effort, then thought better of it (I don't collect the SW busts) and sold it to Josh instead.

Yeah, the shock was easy to get for people who didn't PO. I had a couple of buddies from another board who went up and got it easy. Never even sniffed a chance at the HP bust to help someone.
