Ok time for you guys to get back on topic and quit with the back and forth _____ing.
Now to get this thread back on topic I'll give a few of my thoughts on this movie.
First off the story was awful. It was like one big chase scene after the other with a little dialog sprinkled here and there and would have made for a decent Ghost Rider comic book back in the day but not for a movie. I loved having Blackout as a villain but would have liked the fight scene to last a little bit longer. And who the hell is Fargo or whatever the hell his name was give me Mephisto not some wannabe.and not be on the hood of a car
I did like the look of GR's bike it really reminded me of the one Blaze rode in the comics I had when I was kid. I didn't like the burnt skull look too much and wasn't a fan of his melted leathers either. I really did like the way they portrayed GR in the fight scenes with the way he moved and how he just gave off a creepy vibe when he is first seen in the movie by swaying back and forth.
I guess if you are a fan of GR and you just have to see him on the big screen then check it out during a cheap matinée and if you are not a fan stay away from it because you will be greatly disappointed.
I just want to point out a couple things that people clearly seem to have a problem with, and maybe try to change perceptions as far as looks go for the new GR. If I can sway some opinions, then cool. If not, oh well I tried. So her we go.
1) just think about the way the Joker was designed for the Dark Knight movie. It was a more realistic take where the smile was converted into scars, while the makeup was extremely messy. Nothing like the Nicholson 1989 Joker where his face looked, well, more perfected.
So saying this, why can't old Ghosty have a realer look?
2) Going off of number 1, just think about it. If a skull was constantly on fire, wouldn't it be charred? Also the clothing would be a little crispy. C'mon guys, in the first flick, he had a friggin t-shirt on and it looked so stupid, that it still makes me cringe. Sure it was more traditional like the comics, but I thought most of us like the realism in movies these days to make things more believable. That is IF you can even believe in spirits of vengeance and flaming skulls.
3) the bike in my opinion was genius. I'm kinda over the whole chopper thing. I remember watching a biker build off on Discovery with Jesse Jame and the American Chopper guys, and just realized that those American Chopper jerkofffs have been destroying choppers for a while now, and Jesse James called them out on it bigtime. Strange thing is, Jesse James built the first GR movie bike. Money is money, so I'll give him a pass.
I just think the V-max was a good change. It looks more like something that an average person might have in Blazes current "on the run" status.
So there is a couple of points that maybe can help somebody sway some minds a little bit. I just don't understand it because everybody loved the whole Joker thing, but have such a hard time with GR changing. I bet if Christopher Nolan did GR and made these changes, everybody would be in line to stroke him.
