I saw Murray on David Letterman a couple weeks ago, and was trying to envision him in a newer GB movie. I couldn't do it, honestly, without it seeming pointless and kind of sad (not for Murray, but for the film/franchise). The original is an all-time great film. That's all I really care about. I agree with Deckard that if it gets done, it will be purely for financial purposes. Not that the previous films didn't have that in mind, but particularly with the original, there was loads of creativity, humor, and freshness behind it, not just the prospect of dollar signs. I think newer films can best replicate successes like Ghostbusters by being innovative and different. Not be being pale copies of previous films, TV shows, etc.
