So what kind of damage COULD we cause if one of you talented people out there played around with with Hydrospan and then casted accessories and offered it here?

The NECA Slimer would be a GREAT thing to En-biggen. :angelsmil

An NECA Demon Dog head? (to lie on ground like a severed statue head or whatever).

I love it!! Anyone want to play with this stuff and a Slimer? I love my NECA Slimer and will use him, but would prefer a bigger one.

So can we officially have the Ada Bashing a closed topic please? We all agree that she has communication issues and has had a few sizing issues in the past, but we all agree also that Rick will handle any problems we have from here on out. This b.s. is beginning to derail this thread and, frankly, it's bumming me out a little. We have awesome pack sculpts coming from Nick and, with a few tweaks, a pretty decent Venkman sculpt. So if all you monkey lovers could please take your seats at the bitter table and shut your pie holes, that would be appreciated on my part. :peace

And let's remember too that we're all getting a pretty fair deal for this stuff--from both Ada and Nick. And for those who have lost hundreds--that sucks, but this a GB custom thread, not a bash the artist thread. :lecture
i agree. how did all these guys find their way in here? i check this thread daily for updates and i dont want to have to sift through all that stuff to find the details. go start your own ada bashing thread if you want. ive seen about a dozen of her head sculpts on custom figures and they look great.

anyway, back to GBs. anybody see that Timelife is releasing the entire "real ghostbusters" cartoon series in a dvd collection this fall. if you order now you can even vote on the style of packaging they might use. here's some more details:https://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Real-Ghostbusters-Artwork-Voting/10110

Honestly, I don't see the previous posts as "Ada bashing" at all. I see it as fellow customizers sharing some experiences with the rest of us. I personally want to know what I'm getting into when I'm getting prepared to fork over my money.

I've obtained several of her sculpts as well and have been burned on occasion as well. Case in point: the supposed 1/6th scaled Borg Queen headsculpt. Now there's a sculpt that needs to be tossed in a vat of hydrospan...

I have to say that I am pretty impressed with the overall Murray sculpt. Sure the cheeks/jowls look a bit puffy but the face is excellent. The hair is pretty much accurate to the "Stripes" picture so I think that may fall under the category of be careful what reference materials you submit. I am sure there is more than a little lost in translation (no pun intended) during communications considering she is half a world away. His hair is pretty scraggly in the Ghostbusters movie and I frankly would be ok with his hair in it's current form rather than being quite so unkempt. It looks like there is a lot of detail in the sculpt and it could be magnificent provided the painter has the skill to bring it out.

PS. While some may feel that some of the previous posts were bashing I think you should take what was said at face value, "caveat emptor" and nothing more. Just because you haven't had a bad experience "yet" doesn't mean that you(we) are immune to this situation. Rick has done an admirable job with his previous commissions with Ada, however your "faith" in him might be a heavy burden to bear. I am certain that he is a bit anxious over some of the posts regarding Ada and might be using the feedback contained within this thread to help guide some of his decisions and correspondence. Unfortunately with all that being said I am just as guilty as the other posters in side lining this thread. Perhaps a seperate discussion thread should be created for people to post their likeness/proportion problems with some of Ada's commissions. If it could be kept civilized and was well documented with some visual evidence it might serve as a far better example of the perils involved when commisioning sculpts. Apologies to all.

Wow, that Slimer does look great! Does it come painted like it is shown in the pictures? I hope so. I'd love to order one sometime. Who would have thought a 1:6 scale Slimer would ever be made? But then again, I didn't think that 1:6 scale Ghostbusters would either. But now they're becoming a reality here on this board! :D

Alright, I just heard back from Storeroom again, where he answered my question and clarified if he was going to "make" or "obtain" the uniforms and Alice packs, to which he answered "MAKE!" and asked me for detailed reference of everything we needed. Uniforms, gloves, elbow pads, boots, Alice packs, etc.

Awesome! :chew:chew:chew

So first things first, can anyone take some good reference shots of their Alice packs for me to send off to him? Also, feel free to post any other ref that could be of help! :)

Thanks, all!
-Rick

AWESOME!! I'm looking forward to hearing the quote on this and curious to see where it leads.

Thanks for those Alice pics, Caza! Measurements of the Alice pack probably would be great. I'm going to assume the guy's going to buy one and cast the crap out of it, but you never know. Just on the odd chance this gentleman is really game, can one of you amigos post some decent pics of the PKE meter?

Personally, I'd like to see if Nick-a-tron can sculpt one and perhaps include it with a trap kit...we know his work is top-notch.
