Version 3 is definitely closer to the mark.

It would have been cool if he had one eyebrow raised, along with the smirk.

I would have liked that too, but we probably would have had problems talking her through a properly arched eyebrow. I'm thinking now that this was the safer way to go.

Now that things are starting to come together, I want to start thinking about what kind of body I should get for the Murray head, and how easy' hard it will be to fix it on - can any experienced customisers make some suggestions? It would be much appreciated.

I don't know if they fixed it in the later versions, but I DESPISE Hot Toy human bodies. The hands always fall out, then the tiny balljoint connector does too that holds them on also falls out and splits in half and I always end up on my hands and knee for a half hour trying to find them in the carpet again every time I even pick one of those up those figures just to look at them. :banghead
I HATE Hot Toys human bodies!

I haven't had those problems with the HT body, but I sure have with the 3 Volks Neo Guy bodies. Hands and forearms always fall off.

Anyway, I've got an AA HT Truetype body for my Winston...waiting a bit before I pick up the other 3 bodies so the bite isn't so bad.

Ada normally makes the hs to fit dml bodies. She uses these rubber plugs that have holes in them. They fit fine over a dml and buck that I used for Sam and Dean Supernatural figures.

not part of the commission but the head looks great....makes me want to go watch ghostbusters or anything with murray in it.

I have been playing around with a few different flightsuits and was extremely impressed with the BBI "Chuck Morris" flightsuit. It had almost all the right pockets in most of the right places. Problem was it has velcro patches, extra pockets, and was completely the wrong color. After a few attempts I finally was able to dye the suit. Getting this suit to take color was a challenge to say the least. Gray dye turned the suit a light lavender color and tan dye tended to be more green than brown. I am not 100% satisfied with the color but its not too bad at the moment. I shot these photo in the best lit room in the house (my kitchen) and although the light was bright enough to stop the camera flash it also tended to give everything a yellow hue.

I am using a DML body with a BBI suit and the fit was pretty good. These suits in particular have velcro bands to adjust the waist, wrist, and ankle similar to a real flightsuit. However for anyone wishing to see a comparison to the Saturday Toys jump suit here you are. Both are DML bodies.

yeah that saturday toys suit definately doesnt fit good on that body. i got mine on a buck for now and it fits perfectly. im sticking with these saturday toys outfits. i like em. if you dont want yours spook i might take it off your hands. LMK.

i also got those googles and i think they are the most accurate googles you're gonna find for ecto goggles without making your own.

That jumpsuit looks great! I love the ST coveralls set, but I don't think they work for Ghostbusters jumpsuits. The pockets are all wrong and that kills it for me, it's right in your face and you can't ignore it.

i might remove the pockets completely. havent decided yet. we'll see how much they stand out after i got a proton pack slung over the shoulders.

Thanks to everyone for making their payments for the Venkman heads and for Ray already, (and beyond!). It helps get Ray commissioned sooner having it up front, and for those who still needing to make Venkman payments, make sure you get them in. :duh

Just a reminder to please put your forum handle on your Paypal payments. [email protected], I have NO idea who you are!
:rotfl

Ray's commission should be sent off to Ada within two weeks if I get more payments towards him, and as always, we get her first pics back of him within a month after that. :banana:banana:banana

I did send the reference off to Storeroom before for the outfits and Alice packs and haven't heard anything back, so it's all just a waiting game now.
I didn't send pics of the PKE meter to them if Nicks going to end up doing that. Don't want to take his business away. :)

I also appreciate the people taking the time to PM me if they can't do this right now so I can take them off the list. It helps with organizing, so thanks!

i dont think id wanna know who that is.:lol

ill get the payment over to you for Ray at the end of the week when i get paid WST. plus, i only paid you $25 for venkman and i was gonna pay you some extra for shipping with the ray payment. how much extra do you need to ship ray and venkman?

Not part of the project, but I've been following it. I threw this together for you guys. I di this with my sculpts to get a better feel for them before I pour the mold. Hope it helps.

Hmmm...the ST Jumpsuit does look a tad oversized on that body, but I think that BBI flightsuit looks waaay too small. It might work for a Louis, but it looks a little tight for the other guys. As far as pockets go, yes, the ST suits are all wrong and would leave a ton of pin holes if the pockets were removed--but I think if you adhere the name patch to the top part of the pocket, it might not be so noticeable when all the gear is on.

And, Spook, would you mind putting the ST suit on the fella on the left. They may both be DML bodies (which I don't plan on using), but there is a very obvious difference in height.
