I don't plan on it, but I won't rule it out. I'm not as offended by this movie as many others are, but it doesn't really feel like GB to me, and I'm concerned that it might genuinely be no good.

That's my intellectual take as well but I think my gut won't let me skip a GB movie in the theater. Even if the reviews are terrible. I mean, I paid for BvS. :dunno

this coming friday
going after opening weekend would be the best lol (empty theaters)

That's why we continually get fed garbage from the studios, because despite people thinking a movie looks horrible, they STILL go to the theater to see it.

I don't really think we get fed garbage. I think there is garbage. Most of it I don't watch. But as far as tentpole stuff goes, I tend to disagree most of the time with the internet bile. I think most of these movies are made by people who are trying to make a good movie.

Even here...while I don't think it looks great and I didn't like the idea of starting the process with a gender agenda, I DO believe that Paul Feig and the actresses made what they think is a good movie, or at least the best they could within whatever parameters there were.

Like Kara said - at least it's led to some awareness of the old movies and even some new classic GB merch. That's a good thing. And the truth is I'm very curious. I like Kristen Wig and I think Kate Mckinnon is one of the strongest parts of SNL at the moment. I'm not a Melissa Mccarthy fan but if it helps her support Khev's toy habit, I can live with that.

Whatever the BO is, the studio has clearly heard the message from the large segment of angry fans.

I don't know...the older I get the harder I find it to muster righteous indignation towards entertainment. :lol It could certainly be a character flaw.

It's funny, just the other night I was thinking that I've become much more easily entertained as I've gotten older, so your not alone on that. I don't know if it's righteous indignation I feel, so much as it just looks horrible to me. Still, I'll end up seeing it on Redbox eventually.

And your right about it reviving interest in the original, without it I probably wouldn't have purchased the Blu Steelbook of the original, considering I already had it on DVD. Still not 100% sure I should have though.

I suppose if your a big fan of GB in the first place, I can understand. If a new Star Wars movie came out and I thought it looked bad, I'm pretty sure I'd still see it.

You should just pay for what you want. Be honest with yourself.

Jennifer didn't watch it 75 times. She made that number up. Didn't provide how it was better. She just trying to stir controversy. She is lying.

Unfortunately I lack your psychic powers to judge a movie completely before seeing it. It does look pretty bad, but looks can be deceiving. And I'm a huge Ghostbusters fan, so if it is good, I want to experience that on the big screen.
