I hate the casting and the idea of an all female cast, but I don't get all the hate towards the costume and the proton pack. The costume is pretty much the same as the originals. The proton pack looks like it could be an early prototype, and the fact that it looks used is nice. I like that it looks smaller because it's designed for a woman. The wand is also very similar to the originals. :dunno

It goes beyond all of that, at least to me. I wouldn't look forward to a GB reboot if it were starring James Franco, Seth Rogen, Channing Tatum and Donald Glover.

Just like with the "Karate" Kid reboot, or "Total Recall" this is going to suck so bad it's not even funny...
It's going to be the same schtick they did with Bridesmaids but with ghosts as the McGuffin... that pack looks horrendous!
:horror

They should have Sucker Punched it with some hawt chicks in school girl and lingerie outfits.

Me and a sew of peps would pay to see them get slimed......

The original idea that I didn't like -- "Sons of Ghostbusters" -- now seems like a brilliant idea.

Oh well, hopefully this will be entertaining and not cringe-worthy. I wonder who dropped out so that McKinnon got the role? Rose Byrne? Funny enough, Kate is the only one that I think might be a pleasant surprise -- don't know any of her tricks yet.

Any idea after "Extreme Ghostbusters" is redundant, stupid and most likely a rip-off.

Nah, "Extreme Ghostbusters" was built on good concepts. A solid show that could be very good.

Maybe, I didn't watch enough of it to be objective. I didn't like the forced "pc"diversity thing, with the goth chick, the puerto rican guy or wherever he was from, the handicap guy with a wheel chair, and the token black guy. I mean holy ****, I'm surprised they didn't make Egon a transexual :lol

I know what you mean. :lol

It actually worked just fine and never bothered me.
They all had unique personalities and personal issues which made them interesting characters.
Even Eduardo, the least valuable teammate, got good character development.

Well, you saw the show so you would know. They made Eduardo the least valuable teammate? But there was a guy in a ******* wheelchair? Some stairs and he's instantly less valuable :lol

She would make a good Annie Potts replacement for a proper Ghostbusters...
