I think the marketing team will have a hard time selling this movie. Nothing against the female cast but if this was a classic Ghostbusters movie with the team we all now than the ghost badge itself would get people in the seats. Are they going to sell it as a Ghostbuster movie or a female driven movie?

Ghostbusters is a series that never needed to be continued. If people hadn't been so obsessed about having a 3rd film with the original cast, then they wouldn't have ever bothered. Bill Murray was never going to come back and now this is what we end up with.

I watched both 1 and 2 films again last year, after not seeing them for many years. Honestly, they're really not that great. Loved them as a kid, but now the whole story is just extremely dated.

I can't see any version of this franchise being successful in 2016.
