Ghostbusters was so at the forefront of that 80's David Letterman men-as-juveniles thing (that led to the triumph of the nerd we have today) that you really do have to question why - other than the success of Bridesmaids - you'd do this as an all-female reboot.

It's now clear that Ghostbusters is like a lot of 80's franchises - one great movie with some crap that followed years or decades later.

Still don't get why they'd do the "30 years ago four scientists saved NY" thing at the start of the trailer - none of that happened in the reality of this movie.

This is a chick flick in disguise. Its a movie they tried to make for guys to take their gals to see and still save face that its "acceptable" for men. While at the same time will interest a female audience as well.

Trying to capture the all important "drag your boyfriend to a theater chick flick he does to want pay 30 bucks for " money.

This is a film women will drag their guys to in vengeance for all the AOU and BVsS and TFA they have had to sit through.

They are hoping for the Big Bang Theory crowd.....mixed with the normal WB low brow trash crowd...

Shall I go on?

And what up with this hot mess and her eye brows?

This feels like Alien Resurrection all over again. Who the *****k is Paul Feig? Someone call the real Ghostbusters, cause this ****e is about to get ugly.

If there's anything positive to come from this reboot then I hope it's that newcomers to the franchise go and watch the original GB movie and have a fun time watching it before seeing this. And hopefully it will make people appreciate GB2 more now too.

I always loved GB2, I'm not sure it really warranted all of the hate it received... I imagine some of that will go away after this one.

I remember going to a birthday party the summer GB2 came out and I was shocked that my friends were all hating on it. I still love it. :dunno

GB2 has some moments. Personally I never hated it. I have seen it much less then the first so it's always kind of fun to watch because I don't know it like the back of my hand like the first film. I never liked the ending with all the Happy New Yorkers singing and the statue of Liberty walking around.

I love the court house scene with Rick Moranis acting as their Lawyer... that scene is as good as any in either film.

I don't get the hate for this. Looks like a Ghostbusters movie to me.

I have to say that I always saw this as a vehicle for the Bridesmaids women first more so than a reboot of ghostbusters. And then also as a Paul Feig movie, most of which have been entertaining.

Trailer wasn't great but might still be an okay movie on the level of his others, not sure what others were expecting to be honest. The second trailer is good but just seems like a teaser.
