women were never big into Ghostbusters before, I doubt a lot of girls will be interested.

Never said they were.....but me thinks the studio thinks they can make a movie that will entice the nerds and there girlfriends equally. They may even think this is a movie the gals will go see on a gals night out....and they may be right.

Thank God we have this for all our Ghosbusters III needs.

Wow, you've helped me out again, thanks mate. :lol :hi5:

It's a fantastic game that has all the principle cast back, a sequel to the first two movies, written by Ramis and Aykroyd AND they considered as being is pretty much GBIII in all but name. What more could you really ask for? :lol

Since the passing of Harold Ramis, it's also the very last Ghostbusters project involving him and the original team. It got buried under all the crazy shooters that were out way back, but now it's more of a collector's item due to just how significant this game is to the franchise. Forget the reboot or anything else, this is what you want.

Be warned though, a sealed copy could set you back for a pretty penny, so maybe you'll just have to resort to a used copy.

Wow, there you go - thanks for the info Ryan! :duff I'm onto it. Gonna find a nice 2nd hand copy online now.

I also just read that plot summary the person posted on Reddit there.. oooofff. :monkey4

Amazing what the classic music and getting rid of the bad parts can do for the trailer.

Someone recut the new Ghostbusters trailer and made it better.

I wouldn't say that recut trailer's that much better - yeah, it's cut a little faster but it's the warm fuzzies from the old song that's the only noticeable improvement and that's a bit of cheat to improve it. It's like PT imagery with the Imperial March over it.:lol

"The Real Ghostbusters" and "Extreme Ghostbusters" were good. :dunno

:exactly: :lecture

Not in the same league as GB1 though.

GB2 has some moments. Personally I never hated it. I have seen it much less then the first so it's always kind of fun to watch because I don't know it like the back of my hand like the first film. I never liked the ending with all the Happy New Yorkers singing and the statue of Liberty walking around.

I love the court house scene with Rick Moranis acting as their Lawyer... that scene is as good as any in either film.

GB2 is somewhat crappy overall to me but there are a couple of parts that are on-par with GB1. That movie's key sin was turning BM off doing GB3.

That was a fantastic game. I want a next-gen remaster.:lecture

I'd buy a remaster in a heartbeat! Heck, it really deserves one.

Sweet! I'd love to know what you think of the game when you beat it!

Fun trivia: adjusted for inflation, GB1 would have made $630 million domestically if released this year.

How does the gameplay work? Do you play as one character or do you control the four GB's?

You play as a new character called "The Rookie", basically a blank slate character that you play as so the GB's can test out the new equipment. During the game you team up with the others in varying combinations (or all 4 at the same time) or go solo.

You're playing as the Rookie (a new character). It's a 3rd-Person game and works kinda like a shooter, complete with cover mechanics and the like. It's been a while since I last played it, but it truly deserves the praise it gets.
