It's not worth the free rental. If you pick up a monthly rental pass, and already have rented enough movies to pay for the pass, then, maybe...

It was alright for what I expected from the movie. I anticipated, just like Transformers, a silly action movie based on a toy line, this one havinggotten it's start 45 years ago. And I was cool with it. I can honestly say that I have seen many MUCH, MUCH worse movies than this.
And honestly, the history of the characters being added in to the movie was so completely un-necessary that it really is not worth mentioning.
It really seems to me that this thread is more about dogging on the movie to show off who knows more about a completely unimportant history of fictitious toy characters than it is actually pointing out poor movie-making.

I don't think you read very well.
Have you read this thread? We dissected every square inch of this film for months.
Why rehash all of the data & discussion points? They're all right here in the thread.
But to boil it down to bare minimum...
It's an absolutely abysmal "G.I. JOE" movie, period.
However, it's also a bad movie just on its own flimsy merits. (Design, Directing, FX, Script, Acting, Editing, etc)
I wasn't around for the original film-bashing. And I have only just seen the movie for the first time. And if any rehashing of the specific discussion points gets done...it will not be by me. But yes, I did read it. And I did see the marginal attempts to dog the cinematography. But it still seems to me that overall the (vast) majority of the complaining was more about this movie not matching the die-hard Joe fans interpretation of the material.
I am doing nothing more than expressing my opinion. If you guys can't let that go...don't blame me.
I can let it go. And I'll show that by being out of this thread now.
It is a movie to see , without the brain.
You know what is sad? People are actually buying the ROC DVD. I see emty slots in a few stores now.

Jajajajaja sweet jesus !!! my score to GI Joe is : 1 1/2 of 5 .:emperor
Just watched it. What a piece of ????! Too much wrong with this movie to list. I was never a fan of the cartoon, which I thought contributed to my dislike of the movie, but reading this thread leads me to believe knowledge of the source material would not have been helpful.
