While it is not readily obvious, they DO have information about the cancellation fee on their Info page:

https://www.goheroshop.com/info.php

I remember it being there since the beginning because i read everything before I originally pre-ordered their Buck Rogers figure way back when...

There was nothing about it when I originally ordered, because I checked too. But anyway, they shouldn't be hiding it away now - can you imagine if Sideshow did that? The boards would go nuclear.

Go Hero isn't some charity that helps dolphins or orphans or whatever that we should cut them slack, it's a business like any other.

EDIT: Got this response, which I'm posting to be fair to Mr Forde and to illustrate his comendably swift response to my latest email (even though he took two months to answer my first!)
:

It is unfortunate that you are taking this posture. I prepared and shipped the pieces I had on pre-order – including yours. I notified everyone via my website and / or emails along the way. In fact I think you cancelled shortly after I sent out an update. YOU COST ME MONEY and it was more than $15.

I won’t charge you the $15, but understand I cannot permit you to order again because of your threats and implying I am dealing anything other than honorably. The preorder policy has been in place for several YEARS on my info page https://www.goheroshop.com/info.php. As for the New Jersey law – feel free to review what you want – Like many businesses, I have every right to set conditions on the products I sell.

If you feel you must post on forums your “experience”, be sure to include this email chain and how you did not read the preorder policy ahead of time and threatened me with nebulous legal nonsense – implying what I am doing is illegal or unethical instead of normal business practice. Posting what has happened here will do you harm to be known as someone who preorders, backs out with no explanation, then makes threats because you do not want there to be accountable. Everyone in this process, including your co-collectors need those policies to mitigate the risk on projects because all too often fickle customers change their minds at the 11th hour. Imagine if several collectors act this way – the project gets delayed and possibly shutdown. Companies like mine and all they way up to Mattel / Hasbro take risks on projects for collectors. We all rely on loyal customers to place and honor orders or this business will never risk making anything other than Spiderman and Batman.

So that concludes the matter as far as I'm concerned, but be warned, there is a 15% cancellation fee for any Go Hero product you order and this is NOT immediately obvious when you order. Beyond that, I'm satisfied.

As was said by Saintsyn, I too pre-ordered Buck before Flash was even available. And the fee was there as well... so regardless of what you claim about the policy you are in the wrong here. There was a cancelation fee.

But sounds like you were able to piss and moan enough that he gave into you. It honestly sucks that you would pass your problem onto him.

As I said, I'm satisfied now that the problem has been resolved. As for your comments, they're pretty rude. I try not to say things to people online that I wouldn't say to their face. I'm sorry for you that you haven't been better brought up.

I'd say the same to your face... you ordered something and when you decided to cancel made the call that it was not your responsibility to pay the cancellation fee.

You're definitely in the wrong DCFan. Ever heard of buyer beware? You looked and couldn't find the policy concerning a cancellation fee. Whose fault is that? You could have emailed Steve and asked before placing an order, whose fault is that? You should take responsibility for you actions. It should be Steve taking you to the 'Trading Standards'.

Very few businesses in the collectible industry don't have cancellation fees. Sideshow and BBTS are amongst a very short list. One who expects to get a full refund and not stick to the transaction that they placed is just being foolish.

On a better note... just got a notification that Flash should be shipping out tomorrow :rock

So stoked to be getting this one!!! :banana

I haven't hear anything yet. Did you contact Steve galactiboy or was the notice just sent to you?

Just got a "click-n-ship" notice from USPS saying the package would be shipped out today and confirming the address. I did email him a few weeks ago checking about my order, but not directly about when it would ship.

So I would expect others will receive notice soon.

Had plenty of contact with you mom last night :naughty :naughty :naughty. Got Go Hero's $15 back too :lol

:lol :lol Classic

Not to prolong this and I've deleted the jerky comments - but most online shops have a cancellation fee and it's almost always in the terms and conditions rather than posted somewhere obvious.

But my credit card declined and I got a call today - so Flash is shipping in the next few days.

Hmmm... now I have two tracking numbers from Steve, but only ordered one thing :lol

I did ask about a COA for my Buck figure as mine was missing his... so I guess one of them could be that :huh Feel bad he had to send it separately, was hoping he'd just send them together.

Same thing happened with me. Gotta call Steve back with the new card number...

cancellation fees are part of the game unfortunately.

I tend to refrain from preordering from places (except SSC) due to that fact.

I totally understand why the sellers do it and am not complaining, just for me personally I shy away from preordering because of it.

The COA must be coming from a different location. I remember last time the figures came straight from China. I forgot to ask for my COA, so I guess I'll have to live without it for now.

I received the "click-n-ship" last night too, so mine's on the way. :banana:banana

Nope, same address is listed on the click-n-ship.

Yes, when enquiring about my missing COA for Buck Rogers, Steve asked me if I had another order, so he could enclose the COA with that order. So I'm sure he ships the missing Buck COA's with Flash, if he can.

Well... and I may have made a mistake. I checked and the skeleton Warrior 3-pack which was on back-order seems to have already shipped. Guess they weren't too back-ordered :lol

So that is at least one of the packages... not sure about buck since I can't find a charge anywhere for $120.
