That´s an absolute no here.
I even got the feeling that jumping sequences went better, cause before the patch I´ve fallen several times before gettin´over a chasm...

Yeah jumping and flying feels smoother, but I've expeirenced more glitches since the download. It's not unplayable, but it is annoying. I hope it's not my PS3.

I only get a glitch every now and then. Like I said it's not unplayable but is annoying.
One glitch I got was when I was in Aphrodite's Chamber and one of her maidens was completely missing! Another was when Gia tries to kill Zeus and Kratos at the end, the frame rate was messed up and the characters would talk even when their mouths wern't moving.
Other than a few bugs with jumping here and there, the game had not real problem before I dl'd the patch.

I only had ONE little glitch at the second walkthrough and that was BEFORE I downloaded the patch.
Kratos said:"Zeus, your son has returned. I bring the Destruction *cut* Zeus! (same as the first one yelled).

What´s rong with he PS3´s controllers?
Since first Gen PS they´re the absolute best...

Don´t worry fatso, all will be well.

Yeah, PS DID have a great controller, that is until Microsoft came out with there's. The PS3 controller feels like such a POS compared to it.

1) The comtroller is to small. I feel like I'm holding a controller made for a toddler.

2) The toggle sticks are in such a uncomfortable position.

3)It's aslo slow or non responsive when a button is pressed. The trigger buttons also feel awkward when pressed. amd this leads me to number 4

4) The controller itself feel like it is made out of such crappy weak plastic. Sometimes when I'm playing a game it feels like it's gonna break. It's just a very flimsy controller.

Now having said all that, I do like the fact that Sony included a wired charger with there controller, and that it comes with a battery already built into the controller. And I do love what Sony has done with their system hardware it's self, it's very well made. And they made it very consumer and cost friendly. Which is what I didn't understand at first when the system was first launched. Why it cost so much? The reason it cost $200 more than the Xbox 360 is because Sony, unlike Mocrosoft, made the system without you having to add all that bull____, like a controller battery, a Wire charger, a hard drive with more space than 20 gig, a wireless network adapter and internet capabilties.

And this is why MS owns the PS3 controller and why Sony's PS3 console's hardare owns MS's

Yeah my biggest complaint is the button layout and the controller is to small, those are my biggest gripes.

I thought it was just me, but I agree, the double jump / gliding seemed a little tricky. I died NUMEROUS times trying to jump across chasms. However, this weekend's update seemed to have rectify this glitch. I downloaded the update on Saturday and played for a short while, and to me the double jumps and glides were NOTICEABLY easier.

That's the good news. However, I was having difficulty playing GOWIII yesterday. I loaded up my saved game at the Aphrodite's Chamber level. The cinematic played, but the only sound I was getting was the background moaning. The subtitles showed Aphrodite's dialogue, but no spoken dialogue was heard. I went to quit the game and go to the main menu, but the game was stuck on the loading screen with the spinning omega icon. After a interminable wait, I had to switch off my PS3 manually via the switch on the back. Thereafter, I was having difficulty playing games. A few times I would put some games in, and the PS3 wouldn't read the disc. I finally got GOWIII to work, and played the Challenge of Olympus where you have to destroy all the urns. But I noticed everytime I failed the challenge and restarted, there was a noticeable pause between the screen where you choose to restart the challenge and the loading screen. And when In finally beat the challenge, when I hit "X" to go to the main menu, I encountered the same wait and had to shut off the PS3 manually again.

I'm wondering if this problem has something to do with the update, or if my launch 60 GB PS3 is on it's last legs. Anybody else had any issues?

Hate to quote myself from almost two weeks agon, but my launch PS3 acted up AFTER the update. I'm more than certain that it's coincidence, but if other people's PS3's are acting up as well, there may be something to it.

Also, regarding the PS3 controller, you have to remember that the control was designed from a Japanese perspective; Japanese gamers, like most Asians, have smaller hands. It wasn't until Microsoft got in the game that the "bigger is better" design aesthetic came to play. Remember the Xbox's ungodly huge first controller?

Yeah, but at least MS made their controller better. Sony on the other hand should have improved on their controller when they produced the PS3. They've basically had that same controller since PS1 ?? Oh, and what, Sony doesn't care about other markets besides Asia ?? Not buying that one.

And its not just that the controller fits in your hand that makes the Xbox 360 controller better. It's also the fact that the triggers feel a lot more natural when squeezed. As well as the toggle sticks having little thumb grips for your better toggling with your thumbs. I hate that the PS controller doesn't have those. My thumbs keep slipping off of the toggle stick. It's very hard to play game without the thumb grips

Sorry, chaver...don´t get your arguments there.
Since when did the ps controlers quality decrease in that much of a degree.
I play since PS1 and it´s good, through all times.
Every button fits perfect, analog sticks arei n great position and seriously...what kind of hands do you have when the controller´s for toddlers in you opinion?!
XBrocks controller is way to clunky and the button layout is totally without structure.
On sony everything´s in order, but on ms´ everything´s cluttered all over the place.
N64´s was the same...

Okay, I'm not really saying that the controller is too small, the size of the controller is not the problem, sorry. What I wanted to say is because of the button layout and the position of the toggle sticks, the controller is not used the way it should be. Therefore making it feel as though it is small. The controller, like the Xbox 360 controller, should fit right in the palm area of my hand, which it can. But since the button layout and the odd position of the toggle sticks, the controller is not used that way. Instead, in order to have access to the buttons and the toggle sticks, I have to play with the controller with it resting on my fingers.

Look, all you have to do is put the controller right snug up into your palm and you'll see what I'm talking about.

Ps32.jpg
How am suppose to get to the toggle stick this way unless I adjust the controller so that it's resting on my fingers and not my palm the way it should be.
Ps31.jpg
Look, the controller is in the palm of my hand, the way it should be, but how am going to get to the other toggle stick and have access to the buttons without having to adjust to using my fingers ??

Now I'll show the way I have to use the controller in order for me to be able play.

PS34.jpg
Notice how the controller is not sitting in the palm of my hand. You can see that I am holding it with my fingers.

Ps33.jpg
Now do you see what i mean?

Now let's look at the Xbox 360 controller in all it's ergonomic glory!!

See, sits perfectly in the hand. No need what so ever for adjustment.

Well at least the PS's D-pad works...

But I agree with the trigger button issue. Much prefer the xbox's over the PS3's.

Uhm, yeah...I see your problem, but still don´t get it, cause I´ve aways played it this way.
I never felt the need for the controller to fit in my palm. I guess you played XBox befoe PS, right?
Cause I didn´ have ANY of MS concles and went always with sonyad that´ why I have to say the exact opposite, like I sad before with the ms controllers.
Button layout, frm, everything.
Unadjustable for me...

That's strictly a matter of opinion. Dude, you like the XBox's controller enough to provide pictoral evidence, then more power to you. But you can't make a blanket statement that the Xbox controller is better than the Playstation controller. That's subjective.

Secondly, I never stated that Sony doesn't care about other markets besides Asia. But you can't seriously expect them to redesign a controller strictly for the North American market.

Anyways, to get back on topic, God of War III is effin' awesome! I need to get my PS3 fixed / replaced so I can play through it again.

Hmm..I've always felt the 360 controller was better for shooter games, where as the Ps3 controller was better for say fighting games. For a game like GoW3, I think the Ps3 controller is much better. I like Ninja Gaiden and Dante's Inferno better on the Ps3.
