Well, since Sideshow plans on releasing a few God of War stuff, I'm going to hold off on this one, and see what else develops. I definitely need a Kratos statue (and I won't mind canceling a few pre-orders for one), but I just find the pose on this one as too uninspiring. Kratos needs to look like he's ready to go ape-#### on someone's son.

A Kratos PF would have been ideal. This does look pretty good, though. Might consider it if it's in the TMNT comiquette $200 price range, which it probably won't be.

Why was the original plan for a 1/4 Kratos Premium Format changed to a 1/5 Maquette?
The God of War project has been plagued with a number of unusual communications, so we had to adapt because of that. Sorry, we can’t go into more detail quite yet.

Off topic but what was the retail for the 12" NECA Kratos? Ebay has him for $50-$60, and a weird thing is that the 7" Golden Fleece Kratos is going for more than the 12 incher?! Over $100+.

I scalped them for 80 bucks a few months back, but you know how bad it is to re-sell toys in this day and age.

Wow, February I could find it for $30-$35 online but I did not jump on it. I thought since the price was cheap that no one wanted the figure and it was already 3 years since they released it. Plus I had other figures that I had on order which delayed me from getting it. But after GOWIII was released they sold out or the price went up. I don't think DC Direct will make a 12 incher, plus the NECA figure is sculpted nice.

NECA did a good job with all scales Kratos figures.

Yah, too bad they only made Kratos. I'm glad were still having GOWIII from DC Direct, but it looks like they are going with the statue style like the wolrld of war craft figures. Well atleast we'll have other character too.

Hope the PO for the Kratos statue will be out soon, since the DC Direct figures was approved I don't see why not the sideshow statue would take any longer to be approved.

Not SS, but another company that did a GoW1 statue a while back. it's in the new PS3 commercial along with the blade replicas. Theres also a dio.

The Kratos statue that you are referring to wasn't ever available at retail. It was commissioned privately for the God of War team (about 100 of them).
