Got my Burning G and G Junior today. Jr. is funny, he's so tiny :lol but I dig him. Burning Godzilla is awesome. I love how they did the orange bits. Fantastic effect.

Now all I need is Destroyah and the Destroyah evolution pack to finish off that set. Then Moguera and Little Godzilla (which i just can not bring myself to get :lol) to finish off the Spacegodzilla lineup. :yess:

I wonder if they'll dip into Godzilla vs Mothra (battle for earth) so we can get Battra...and of course Mothra.

I don't blame you for not wanting the Little Godzilla... That design was just terrible and somewhat embarrassing for a modern G film. :slap

Be he was cute with his big bug eyes and the way he wobbled when he walked. Much better than that stupid other Godzilla jr. Thing looked like ET on crack.

I prefer Junior to little Godzilla. Little Godzilla looks like a cartoon and out of place, whereas Junior looks like what an adolescent Godzilla should look like.

I'll likely pick up Little Godzilla eventually...but he'll be the last one I get.

Wanted to post pictures before.

Of them all, the '67 Minya's my favorite, there's something weird about the updated 2004 version. My least favorite is Baby Godzilla, mainly for the colors, the blues just don't make sense for Godzilla, and then Little Godzilla suffers from strange eyes that make him look like an anime character and not a Godzilla. I don't really count Junior in the lot since he's so matured and grown, he's almost Godzilla just with smaller spikes, not as distinct as the others.

Yeah, Minya(67) is my favorite, maybe based on pure nostalgia, but I also like the design. It's funny that the newest one looks the most rubbery

Still like Little Godzilla . He looks like what a young Godzilla would look like to me.

I'm not sure why, but to me, all the movies after 89 look more fake than the ones of the 60s and 70s.

Of that group, Godzilla Jr. was my favorite.

Yeah, that's actually true for several movie monsters I've noticed. Predator to name one. Strange business.

Junior is my second fave. I really liked his role in Godzilla vs Destroyah.

One thing that kills it for me is how flying monsters like Rodan and Mothra almost look like a kit being flown around than living creatures, but also, a lot of the costumes look very clean and stand out as suits where things looked grittier and worn out in the old movies, the costumes decaying actually helped sell realism at times.

Yeah, it's like the opted for stronger/higher quality materials, which gave the suits a more clean and refined look, which worked against them. On the old suits, Most of the folds and wrinkles looked like how skin and fat would actually fold and crease, whereas on the new suits it LOOKS like material.
