Monsterarts is getting a little boring, guess they need to recoup costs for the big, unique figures with recycling parts. Now they're releasing adult Junior from the final shot of Godzilla vs Destroyah to reuse parts from the existing Godzillas. I really like seeing a normal Godzilla with the build of the '95 minus the flames, it's powerful looking.

Very appealing. And, not that they deserve too much credit for this obvious rehash, but it is kind of nice to see "adult Junior" recognized in some sort of "official" scale.

Is it me, or are Monsterarts focusing more on giving him articulation than hiding the joints? They seem so obvious on this figure compared to the first '94 Godzilla.

MonsterArts is all about the joints, always has been. I will say I like the look of this one more than the original '94 Godzilla they did (or whichever year that was).

That is sweet!!! I may grab one of those too!!! :rock

Quick question for my fellow freaks. I have an opportunity to buy an X-Plus Megalon for approximately $800. What do you all think? Too much? Average after market price? I already have Gigan. Just needs some opinions and/or thoughts?

I wouldn't do it. $800 is the cost of two PF's (or one really massive show-stealing piece) and spending it on a 25cm (roughly 9") Megalon is way too much. If you want one that badly, I'd hold out for a better deal. Another possibility is X-Plus releasing him in 30cm at one point, which would run you roughly $600 less.

So in other words, X-Plus isn't at all like Hot Toys?

Nope. That's why I love it. A figure is announced and within two months max, it's in your hands. And as an added perk, within a few weeks of that, the aftermarket value starts to go up. Quickly.

It's like what Hot Toys used to be but even faster-paced. Granted, you do have to factor in the time it takes for them to develop the figure but that's done behind the scenes. You won't know what they're making or be able to order it until it's 30-60 days from shipping.

I actually like this one a lot. Joints don't bother me. Super articulated toys have them, but I think they do a good job of it.

No way. That's way too much for Megalon.

I just think, looking at the midsection and legs, they're more obvious with the joints now.

I see you're point but damn, that comparison makes the new one look way more dynamic.

Thanks for all of the advise everyone. It really helps in making a determination. The comments are appreciated. :wave

That looks like the same exact figure to me . Just a different color . On 2nd thought maybe its the head sculpt that is exactly the same

I wish they would work on those joints. The burning G is just awful

The Original G 94 had less visible joints but it's a ***** to move. Which sort of defeats the purpose of the figure. The G 95 is much easier to pose and play with... Even though these are expensive they are more "toys" then statues. However You can still pose the 95 Godzilla in such a way that it will hide the joints better and thus have a more high end looking figure.

My 8 and 5 year olds love these and they are the only ones they play with anymore. Of course they have been taught through the years to be careful and good to their toys so I would not say these are for average kid play.

I love them also. I think the sculpts are great and they look amazing for having so many points of articulation.

I will have to take some photos of these guys one day.
